I feel like there was a point in the not so distant past where we could actually get map variety. Speaking form ground battles, there are literally dozens of actually different maps, not even talking (winter) maps, and yet every time I play this game, its “here, play like 4 maps for the whole day”. I can’t say I understand how exactly the matchmaker chooses the maps, but I have a hard time believing that all but like 4 maps are banned by the collective team every match. Here’s some of the more egrigious examples I have
I just don’t get why it seems so common to get the same maps over and over and over, its possibly the most consistently frustrating part of the game

Simple answer. No.
Map design, map rotation and general match making is a chronic problem without any discussion for improvement. On the contrary maps is only getting worse.
Fully agree, not sure how it’s worked out but it’s almost like there’s a “bucket” of 5/6 maps for each day that get rotated. I’ve only managed to see Pradesh 3 times ever and seem to live in a purgatory of Eastern Europe, Sun City and Advance to the Rhine for the majority of it. Even Fulda I’ve had less than 10 times
Playing Seversk-13 five time in a row is definitely a good mix
This might be a game mode, BR related & server selection issue too. Despite living in Europe i barely play on US servers - i always choose RU and US server.
For Air RB (BR 3.7): I played the last 15 matches on 15 different maps. You can check this by looking for replays with my participation. There was a time some weeks ago that every 2nd or 3rd match was on the “Mysterious Valley” map, but this has stopped and was imho related to weekends.
But my son (playing Ground RB and Air RB on PC) has the same issues like you described in Ground RB - and at higher tiers in Air RB he runs into infinite repetition loops of a just a few maps too…
Thought I’d do a small update, because I have no shortage of duplicate maps. I’ve started just leaving games if it’s on a map I just played, I can’t be bothered to keep banging my head on the wall of this matchmaker
