I can’t shoot the drone, hear, or see it (exaggerating a bit but still).
very fair
Also very fair, but I’m in the camp of making atgms much harder to acquire, I’m not a fan of using them, if I wanted to sit still and click m1 I’d get into a tank.
So I have to lose 5 minutes every time I get rammed by a drone?
Not limiting the height, giving the drones a floor, i.e altitude >2m, can’t fly below that therefore preventing ram (who’s realistically flying their drone below two meters???)
fair, but leave it at that, just in the game don’t lock my crew out.
this is just an issue with the abysmal sound design in WT
agreed and fair. cross map sniping is lame and we do need CAS to hard counter them
it was a crash so a crew lock makes sense, but crew locks need a total overhaul if not total removal.
I mean I’ve dove down low in a drone to stop an spaa spraying my drone before. also why is a heli licking the floor like that? they are better off much higher up
Look at the images I posted above, thats why I’m flying so low. Not doing the braindead fly high and straight across the map dumping the whole load of rockets on one guy. With all the autocannons, the spikes, spaa, this tactic only works when you fly nap of the earth and use terrain/structures as cover. Anything else and you’re feeding sp to the other team to get into their su-34s.
Scout drones didn’t need a respawn buff at least, and they need to go down when being shot instead of being flying tanks, immune to missiles and proxy.
Most people are misunderstanding this person. One of his proposed fixes is to allow scout drone crashes to award a kill, so that drone crashing does not lead to crew locks.
That said, drones are easily one of the most ineffective tools against rocket rushing. Any roof mounted MG is many times more effective and reliable against this underpowered tactic.
