If you go by 0.3 BR for each, then F-111 is well placed.

Why does a dedicated bomber with IR missile warning system, radar lead indicator, 2000 round vulcan, flares/chaff, which is also faster than and more maneuverable than most 10.3 dedicated fighters and interceptors, deserve a lower BR than 10.3? And why am I an idiot wanting a dedicated bomber with said capabilities being at a BR where he will not rival dedicated air superiority aircraft?

You clearly didn’t test it very thoroughly. Did you notice the part where you pull a single 90 degree turn and lose over half your air speed? If you thought the Mig-21, A-4, and F-4 all had bad energy retention, get ready for the F-111.
BTW if you have the test drive set to reference, you will be flying the spaded version. Set it to current to see regular performance.

Im not defending a downtier, but uptiering the F-111 in its current state is the most braindead idea ive read in a while.
Aircraft are balanced based on how they perform spaded, not stock.
AFAIK refference was always stock. Did they change it recently?
Not really, the loss of energy seemed smaller than that of the F-4F. What I noticed is the great nose pointing ability and the really strong, but very hungry engines. But then again, I tested it with only the gun mounted and nothing else. Of course you lose alot of speed in a turn if you are strapped with 10 tons of bombs.
Already seen screenshots of people getting ace games with it. Never seen other bombers having an ace in AIR RB.
Tbh the one thing I’d hope for is more countermeasures OR the ability to toggle how many countermeasures the MAWS dispenses. Granted, 11.3 games in the thing suck. Aside from that, it’s a great plane, just needs some slight fixes.
I’d not be surprised if it’s in the same boat as the Tornado. That It has flare only chaff count and when CMs are split it will get a massive boost.

Why are you trying so hard to put this thing on a piedestale when its the only plane in its category? Wow some players got 5 kills when this thing is a bomber op op please uptier to 11.3
(And btw if you haven’t seen any “screen-shots” of tu4 and b29 having more than 5 kills, then you have no idea about the game like at all)

Probably easy to get 5 kills in the F111 in a downtier Vs 9.3s. Remember, it goes in both directions

Of course the F-111 is capable of scoring an ACE but that doesn’t mean it’s too good for its br. Ive got one ACE so far with it and it was not easy, Idk why people don’t realise it only has the vulcan to kill planes, the missiles are useless, it’s not capable of getting 2-3 free missile kills on unsuspecting enemies, like other 10.3 planes on its br.
The fastest plane in the game at sea level, the highest bomb load in the game and though it doesn’t have the turning circle of a dedicated fighter it’s still very good. Br is based off more then fighter capability in air Rb. Bombing bases and ground targetscan win battles in tight games through tickets and to dismiss this thing because the bombs aren’t guided is rediculous. Most people still use dumb bombs at high tiers because you get far more, can carpet for muti kills and clear out large areas at once. Your suggested weakness of this plane and its br are quite misguided mate.
So… you are agreeing that its fine at its current BR with its current loadout?
We also have no idea what features and weapons are planned very soon™.
Like a lot of aircraft including the only other interdictor in game, the tornado. I can see the F-111 getting:
- Really good ground radar (maybe even full ground mapping radar)
- Increased CM count with seperation of Flares and chaff (i feel like the F-111 has the same Flare only deal)
- Possible ECM
- Additional ground attack weapons like Cluster bombers
and thats ontop of the fact they are willing to look at 9Es if this thing struggles. Heck we got R-73s at 11.3 for the Su-39 and 11.0 for the Su-25BM. 9Es are a far smaller upgrade.
10.3 feels like an extremely generous place for it. I know for a fact if this was on any minor nation, it would be 10.7 with its current loadout.
