Here’s the replay: Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On
I wasn’t sure where to post this as I’m not sure if it’s a skill issue, a potato issue (i7-4930K, 24 GB RAM, War Thunder installed to SSHD), or a bug. The issue is this:
Lately I’ve been experiencing a lot of weird invisible/silent shots. By “a lot” I mean once, sometimes twice, every handful of games. By “weird invisible/silent shots”, I mean that I get no feedback about being shot other than I glance down at my status window and half my crew it suddenly dead; no directional hit indicator ever appears; there’s no sound of the shell impacting the armor of my tank; there’s no shell explosion sound; there’s no visual indication of where I’ve been hit on the tank.
In the replay, I was able to see the guy who shot me and where he shot me from. I was also able to see a nearly imperceptible shell trail through the air, though I didn’t see the shell (maybe my replay of it was too fast).
Am I not paying attention? Is this a mechanic (I’m not much of a subject matter expert on shells and stuff)? Is it my computer trying to tell me to finally put it out of it’s misery and drop it off of my balcony? What’s going on?

Oh, I forgot to say that it happens pretty early in the game, at 3:10. I was shot in the back of the turret by a Pz.IV.

The same thing has been happening to me multiple times a day. It can’t be a potato pc issue because I run a 3090 and 64g DDR4 RAM. Definitely a server side issue, but the problem is as stated, will be in a position and suddenly find half of my crew dead after being shot by a tank with no visual or audio queues, if I manage to survive the first shot, the 2nd will always be heard and seen, but the first completely invisible, no cannon flash, no nothing. Your post is the only other one I’ve found of this happening to this past week, but it’s a pretty serious and annoying bug.

Hey, thanks for your input, FrankiePhD. I’m (sorta, lol) happy to know I’m not alone in experiencing this. I also forgot to mention that my graphics card is a 1080, if that matters.
Yup, have had this happen as well a few times, just randomly finding half my crew dead, and a game just a little bit ago my barrel got destroyed but absolutely zero sound or visuals from this.

I’m way more potato than all of you and yeah, I’m getting this too. Shot w/no sound or anything - for the past few weeks.
