Can somebody explain this kill?

Let’s all just ignore how terrible my aim was in this clip, but can somebody explain what happened here?

Recording from Server Replay

It didn’t look like I hit at all when I was in the match, so I checked the Hit Replay. The Hit Replay showed only two hits, both of which either failed to playback or showed shots so far from the target I couldn’t spot them, so I checked the local match replay. It didn’t look like I hit in the local replay, so I checked the server replay assuming it was latency or something. It doesn’t look like I hit in the server replay either though, not even close. In fact, it rather looks like I should have been obliterated by my teammate instead. What gives?

Must’ve been latency issues if you landed a hit and did nothing, but that aside— just some “aiming” issues.

If it were something like lag compensation or reconciliation I would have expected at least one of the client or server views have the shots even vaguely line up, but they don’t. I’m not sure the shots even connect if you shift either plane any amount along their directions of travel, forwards or backwards, at any point around when the kill occurs.
