Can Naval updates be optional?

I have a slow connection, log on for the first time in a week and the game needs a 9+gb update for another naval feature. I have no interest in the boats, it seems to be a low numbers game feature. Players like me with crappy connections would prefer it to be a optional update?

Planes and tanks (unfortunately) play with each other. Tanks don’t really have anything to do with destroyers.

Nope because navals tech trees are visibles even if you dont play with boats. And custom battles can have 3 armies (planes, tanks and boats) on custom maps.

Not even possible, who knows maybe in the future we can get the 3 modes in 1 game lol
