I was on a long break from War Thunder, and in that time, the AuF1 and the AMX-10M were added. However, as you can see in this screenshot, I already had the Lorraine and the ELC researched, bought and even spaded before this.
I can (and could, before I took a break) research the Foch, but I don’t want to research it only to discover I still need the AMX-10M before it.
I THINK Gaijin changed how this works a while ago but I’m not sure. And I like to be able to buy most vehicles as soon as I have them researched and I don’t want to “waste” time on the Foche if I can’t actually buy it right now.
I really thought Gaijin changed that whole thing with adding vehicles before something you can research making you unable to buy that vehicle. Ugh. God I hate this mechanic. It’s so stupid.
I would appear there are some cases where you can skip a vehicle, I seem to have done ,not often and I would need to find the exact examples. Not in your case for what you want it seems.
It a shame you cant skip a certain amount of vehicles as I stopped grinding Israel when it became apparent I had to spend silly SL on shite like the Zachlam to get any further.
