Can Blacklisting players do more?

Everyone knows streamers get special treatment. Streamers bring the game money, money makes game makers ignore cheaters.

If you somehow managed to piss someone off so much that they are physically unable to join a random match, maybe you should look into why so many people hate them.

wait but is he talking about arcade or realistic…? i can easily achieve that in arcade not relastic.

Did you also forget the part in Sim where you can make your own match? That’s what I do. I make a Custom match, make some tea while I wait, and then I go off on my little adventure. Guess what, that means they are not barred from Sim.

Simulator. I’m talking in general.

No, I did not forget Custom matches, but that would still block a major and especially also economically relevant part of the game.

Sure, you can create your own matches, but then eventually if no one joins them, you’re out of options. The sim community is already quite thin already…

Just imagine, maybe quite a few players would block me, just because of my MOD squadron tag. So I could not join any of those matches with them in. Have maybe someon complain about MOD’s in general, other players easily feel motivated to block anyone with a MOD tag, so no Sim for MOD anymore.

Or it could be you, or anyone else, just because people like or dislike for example one’s behaviour in the forum.

And that certainly should not be decided by the players.

I’m sorry, but if you’re being mass blocked, that should raise some flags. People don’t block because they want to commit nefarious deeds, they block because of cheating and toxicity. But hey, if you want to believe someone is committing warfare against you, utilising entire squadrons to specifically target you… well, you must be a bigger c… you must be a massive tw… well, you must be a dreadful person.

Also, I can easily go onto Xbox Group Posts and make a post asking for Sim and I’ll have four people in a few minutes. Plus there is Facebook, where all I need to do is make a post in a group, and I’ll have a few people at the ready. Hell, I have an Xbox group chat dedicated to grinding on Sim. You see, when you’re not a cheater or a toxic person, you have these things called friends. Friends are quite wonderful, because when you need them, they tell you they’ll be on. It’s quite nice.

Trust me, in my over 10 years of experience as GM and Senior GM I have seen quite a few things that go exactly that way. It doesn’t have to be that you’re the issue, simply the victim, fir whatever valid, but also completely invalid reason.

I still believe there is some sort of self respect in gaming that people are not waging a war against someone in a video game just because they played wrong. On here, oh you bet, but that’s because the people on here treat everything as an echo chamber: agree or die. At least you are the one mod guy that isn’t banning me because we disagree.

I do not see the massive psychological war of an entire squadron banning someone for petty reasons. If they do, that just means the guy is safe too, because now he doesn’t have to play with them. He’s safe from harassment, and while he may not be able to join a game in progress if he’s fighting people that are blocked/blocked him, he can still create his own lobbies, he can still play others, etc.

I had a squadron come at me one time, in fact, I had 3-4 of them, that kept reporting me for everything they could. They’d report me whenever they seen me in chat, all because I disagreed with thier commander about their offering of incorrect help in the helpdesk channel.

Making it so that the blacklist doesn’t face anyone you have blacklisted is so dumb and abusable that it’s actually concerning you can’t see how it would be abused.

Purely naive thinking there.

Nothing like a pound of victim blaming…

Did you know that blacklisting only hides messages

So you pissed the wrong people off by being a toxic person? Wow, who would have thought? Clearly not I when I specifically stated the only people who get blocked are toxic people and cheaters. Guess what, if you blocked them, you would never see them again under my rules. Again, you can literally make your own lobbies in Sim and then they cannot join you.

No… I actually highlighted that the issue that the player was having was with something else, which was reflected by the person being helped in the manner they needed to by taking the advice I mentioned.

He then proceded to get his squadrons of zergs, 3-4 at the time, to start spamming report on me whenever they seen me even talking in chat.

You want to make out I’m toxic, because you can’t handle what I’ve said elsewhere… Instead, because you can’t handle it, you get septic and bring that situation to other areas, because, you have that disdain.

Guess what, the reason I said this isn’t a good thing, or that they shouldn’t be able to block them from being in the match, is for the exact same reason I said before…

It’ll end up abused, by avoiding encountering someone who they know they can’t compete with.

You’re blind to the issue because you’re too caught up on wanting it fixed in your way.

Did you know, that if someone fanmails you after the match, and then is so caught up on being a pratt that they blacklist you instantly after, it auto-closes the message window.

They literally rage-spam, and close the window, without you even reading it.

Again, block them and you never see them again, simple as that. Also, I do not recall ever talking to you before, so if you believe I am targeting you, I apologise.

Blocking them in the manner you want, isn’t going to work.

You were the one who put out I was toxic and deserving of the ire of the squadron.

Nah your not allowed to it gets you banned.
The fun way is just shooting them, quick, easy and sends a message to f(for fudge) off.

I was never there, so I can’t dictate, but people lie. People always lie, so who knows what you really did besides you and those lot. Maybe you just told the kid “skill issue” or maybe you were a massive twat. Either or, I still believe my way is best.

This is prejudice, and ignorant to the point being raised.

But you did…

Nope.

But you are also making the excuse that I’m lying to avoid the first statement you made, directly about me, being the toxic person.
