Can anybody explain this to me when I bug reported the TOW-2B

also im pretty sure they dont want it now because it would be a guarantee one shot when hit due to how T-xx are made

I mean, in the video I made of my launching them in the test range, I literally hit the T90A in the ammo and it didn’t go off after it was blacked it out. It’s pretty bonkers how often I get that in game too.

yeah tow 2b was made to counter heavy frontal armor tank or heavy armor fortification because roof armor is the most vulnerable
there are almost no counter for that even with the Relikt since if you know the ingame pen isnt close to irl pen
its balance reason, it suck, atleast they should buff dmg a bit but there isnt much we can do

Yeah, it really annoys me how they butchered the 2B because it was “inaccurate” then proceed to not even make it accurate. I’m sure they could’ve just modeled it as a tandem warhead.

But yeah, idk why they don’t. Which is funny they can simulate fragmentation and such but can’t do that

they can do this, badly. Try shooting the shrapnel shell in the ww1 mode and airbursting it with the fuse setting. It’s supposed to shotgun blast a giant area in front of it like a claymore mine does, instead you can have a squad of infantry tank it 1 feet from the explosion

Mate. The TOW2B launched with 450mm of pen and worked as intended it was nerfed to the 100mm pen and is right now working as intenended. There will be no change no matter how many reports you make because it iw working 100% as Gaijin intends it to work

gaijin prolly found a way to make them code the same hence sometimes its janky

do have to say its making me die inside reading these old forum posts and seeing just how much worse everything is now than it was in 2025… this weapon OP? even tho its only carried by like 5 vehicles (spread across the nations)? clearly NEEDS a nerf into the grave to the point it can’t even kill XM246s (experienced this in my Jaguar just now). let alone Russian MBTs that it faces every game… like why even have a weapon you (the devs) claim needs to be nerfed to be balanced when they add shit like BMPTs to the game with fantasy performance.

Oh but don’t worry, the BMPT they just added has the 2016 modification stock on it… so much fun using ammo from the 80s/90s to fight modern ERA on a top tier chassis. We’ve been asking for a LONG time now for anti-era generation APFSDS (for example, M829A3/A4, actually modeling anti-era for DM53 and L26A1, etc) but that “wouldn’t be fair”. Yet it’s somehow fair for Generation II/III APFSDS to be fighting ERA designed to counter Generation III/IV APFSDS. If I hadn’t spent so much money on this game and have things from my late wife (as she decorated some of my planes and tanks), I would have walked away from this game a while ago. Not to mention, we as the community have been BEGGING for more game modes and Gaijin responds with “Well, we think you’re too stupid to do that”.

Or they take, and this isn’t a hyperbole, WORD OF MOUTH to nerf NATO equipment. Ironic we have literal photos of missing armor in the M1’s breach and Gaijin goes “Oh well, we don’t know the material” as if they haven’t just assumed stuff for the Russians.
