Can anybody explain this to me when I bug reported the TOW-2B

So, I made a bug report the other day on how the TOW-2B doesn’t perform how it should and how the post penetration capability of the weapon is SEVERELY lacking. In response to that, I got told it was a “game convention.”

Can anybody explain to me how a weapon not working properly is the expectation in a game? I personally feel like a weapon should be operating properly and not a blanket hand wave over multiple bug reports on “It’s how we feel like it should be.” I’d feel different if it was a “Hey, the game programming doesn’t support this at the current time” but what do y’all think? Should there be a larger push for this since this will also limit further US vehicles or let this be a useless weapon in game?

i think the reason behind this is that a correctly model top attack missiles would be a nightmare(atleast for the current devs team) to code and model given the current spaghetti code n numerous issues that runs in the game and are intentionally left untouch

See, a reason like that makes sense and to have it flagged as sent to the devs would seem a proper take to it imo.

Fair enough. Stuck at 11.3 US right now and love spawning a plane and instantly get a missile launched at me by a Pantsir while my SPAA can’t even reach a target before I get KH’d to death.

also im pretty sure they dont want it now because it would be a guarantee one shot when hit due to how T-xx are made

I mean, in the video I made of my launching them in the test range, I literally hit the T90A in the ammo and it didn’t go off after it was blacked it out. It’s pretty bonkers how often I get that in game too.

yeah tow 2b was made to counter heavy frontal armor tank or heavy armor fortification because roof armor is the most vulnerable
there are almost no counter for that even with the Relikt since if you know the ingame pen isnt close to irl pen
its balance reason, it suck, atleast they should buff dmg a bit but there isnt much we can do

Yeah, it really annoys me how they butchered the 2B because it was “inaccurate” then proceed to not even make it accurate. I’m sure they could’ve just modeled it as a tandem warhead.

Technically, it’s a double cumulative charge but understood :P

But yeah, idk why they don’t. Which is funny they can simulate fragmentation and such but can’t do that

they can do this, badly. Try shooting the shrapnel shell in the ww1 mode and airbursting it with the fuse setting. It’s supposed to shotgun blast a giant area in front of it like a claymore mine does, instead you can have a squad of infantry tank it 1 feet from the explosion

That’s fair. Hell, I direct impacted one of the MG shields with one and the gunner survived.

Mate. The TOW2B launched with 450mm of pen and worked as intended it was nerfed to the 100mm pen and is right now working as intenended. There will be no change no matter how many reports you make because it iw working 100% as Gaijin intends it to work

He just told you to cry about it but in another way.
