Camoflage weathering

Air weathering is present on most of the aircraft camoflages found in game, but I can’t help but think, especially on high tier jets that it is supremely ugly and slightly unrealistic, as planes spend a lot of time in conditioned hangars. An example of this is the SAAF JAS39C

As you can see, in game the JAS39 is noticeably dirtier and more weathered compared to the photo of the Gripen on the runway (credit: Saab JAS-39C Gripen - South Africa - Air Force | Aviation Photo #2535736 | Airliners.net )and I feel there should be a setting to disable plane weathering in game.

Agreed.

Su-30:

Too lazy to supply images right now, but this problem is particularly egregious on the F-2 coming next update. We should probably write a suggestion. Maybe a condition slider like on ground vehicles? that might appeal to Gaijin’s sensibilities?

Some of these, like the Su-30 or the Eurofighter, already got bug reported a few months back, I hope they just didn’t forget about those kind of reports.

Majority of modern, and even some Cold War vehicles should look like new, there is a slider for it in game though, but it requires premium to use.

of course it does lmao

That slider is only for ground vehicles though, I think this thread is primarily about the weathering on aircraft.

Definitely, recently I’ve been to an air show and I was shocked to see how clean the jets are, even though all of them minus one were actually serving… in warthunder they look way too dirty in comparison

*Ground and Naval.

Also worth mentioning that they still have some level of dirt and weathering (funny enough tho, thew newer vehicles, literally added this year, much cleaner on “100% condition” in comparison with older. Most noticeable then you compare T-34-85 Partisan with TT counterpart (it having new model just adds up to this). Or T-44 from Battlepass with T-44-122)

There’s no reason for it to be specific to ground and naval, or premium only for that matter

I mean in-game aircraft are definitely seeing a lot more action than IRL ones

and then you spend thousands of SL on repairing them, surely cleaning is covered under that?

Thats why we reported it in case of German EF, the Weathering in game in Jets is just to much by like 1000%, eell tbh the pretty much reported the entire skin…

There should be a slider, set to 0% for non premium players, for every aircraft like there are high tier tanks for camoflage wear

Yea, that would be the best option for everyone
