Calling Gaijin out at the end of the year

holy cope

well the irccm from r73´s is just make the seek angle smaller, which is quite good at close ranges but has its problems at further ranges.

yup heard the false engine and its stupid they got the weaker one to begin with. and it also looks like the mig25 will be weaker than it should be on launch, so idk why its always china and ussr which has the bias. its true that the sm2 is good and it will make the rafale dominance more contested in toptier

is this new(this update or last one) or older?
edit: looks like a month old or so…

Theres been issues since September but reports started appearing about a month or so ago.

Though IRCCM has always been buggy on the 9Ms

Guys, just to be clear: I don’t have any bias against China or Russia. It’s just that in-game, the weapons and response capabilities of many vehicles feel superior and are sometimes even based on unreliable documents, especially since these systems are closed off and lack solid public information.

And yeah, I always joke about Russia bias and stuff like that.

Have you played Russia or China, curious?

Maybe ?

China line-up is close to finish

ahh yes the best 10.7 premium and one of the best 9.7 plane

but in general you do have some idea how the missiles are

It does but, you could keep tracking with IR seeker/TCS irl.

Yeah, they work a thousand times better than the AIM-9M/L and all the AIM-120 A/C/B variants.

And you think the R-73s and “Russian” PLs are amazing? I’d say their IRCCM is worse than the 9M but in reality you’re using the 9M incorrectly. You shouldn’t be using the 9M in a headon, or <1km (unless you’re both relatively slow). It is the best IRCCM for side-aspect but it is worse in Front/Rear aspect than the other missiles in game. The other type of IRCCM (pretty much every IRCCM Missiles uses it) is consistent across the board but doesn’t really do well unless its pulling a lot of Gs or is close range.

I use 9Ms a lot btw, more recently R-73s and PL-8Bs.

thanks john tomcat

How am I supposed to use a missile that only locks a target at 3.5 km and eats flares just as easily as an AIM-9H? How am I meant to dogfight an Su-30SM/SM2 that can casually land rear-aspect shots with R-73s?

Help me understand this system are you telling me the missile’s description doesn’t match what it actually does in-game?

Oh, I see. So no matter how strong the PLs / R-73s already are, it feels like you want them to be even stronger, while the AIM-9M just keeps getting worse. Is that it?

Guys, I honestly don’t know if you’re playing the same game I am, because an AIM-9M shouldn’t be missing a target at 2 km, with radar assist, unless the target is dumping a huge amount of flares.

I don’t see this happening when I use PL missiles or R-73 / R-77. Am I in some kind of parallel universe where the USA are supposedly so overpowered that their weapons need to be denied proper functionality?

We have 1990s hornets vs su30s from 2022. What do you think?

It’s over for the beta, it’s done.

Very defensive and hostile for no reason…

It doesn’t. Use it in side-aspect.

You preflare, like all IRCCM missiles? The 9M can also hit rear-aspect if you’re in a slow dogfight.

The stat-card for all missiles suck. This is a well known fact.

What?

The 9M is my most used missile besides the AIM-120. The R-73 and PL-8B is my least used IRCCM missile.

The 9M does miss at 2km because it has FOV-shutoff IRCCM, meaning it shuts off when it sees a hotter source of heat. It also has a guidance-delay which is realistic. Also, Radar Assist? The 9M is a pure IR missile, no IOG or DL.

Because those missiles are better at close range than the 9M/AIM-120? And nobody called the US overpowered. Not to mention that most tech in game are gimped or missile proper functionality (including R-73/-77 + PL-Series).

If you reply to me again being rude, I won’t reply back. Simple.
