Call of the Dragon: Earn the Object 292!

I wonder what the starting price of 292 will be in market? Surely has to be higher than 20 bucks that Vilkas was

Right, but SLs are time consuming and cost money.

It can generate gamblers. It’s not as innocent as nursing home bingo.

It’s…still gambling lmao.

You can pay with candy for all i care and it wouldn’t change the fact it’s gambling.

It’s not gambling.
SL isn’t money.

Sigh… God i’m tires of your bs. Atleast try to google shit before you state your usual “facts”.

Gambling (also known as betting or gaming ) is the wagering of something of value (the stakes) on a random event with the intent of winning something else of value, where instances of strategy are discounted.”

So you just need “something of value”, which SL obviously is.

While you can get SL for GE, which comes down to spending actual money for it, why would anyone do that?

I have over 600 million SL, plenty vehicles researched, all my vehicles have at least one expert crew… there isn’t really much I can spend SL on at the moment.

Got some of these crates since xmas, though mostly for boosters and backups, if I get a vehicle on top of that, even better, but I don’t really expect them.

We are always in the same, you represent 1% of the player base, do you understand that for the vast majority the SL is a scarce resource ?

You have more than 70k battles …you think your case is the majority ?

In any case it is an addictive game of chance and dangers in a game with children.

how do you define gambling?

i define it as this:
Gambling (also known as betting or gaming ) is the wagering of something of value (“the stakes”) on a random event with the intent of winning something else of value, where instances of strategy are discounted.”

neither are pokerchips.

are you saying SL has no value? because according to Gaijin it does have value:

Spoiler

Well it is gambling

Its just in game currency gambling that can be abstracted to real money and that can have “real money” return on investment in terms of GJN coin.

Its not like the TF2-like crates+key that require real money investment to play.

Now wether it is better or worse than the other types of gambling in the game like the crate+key situation is for each their own to decide, in some ways id argue the SL-crates are way better than the crate+key ones.

It’s gambling in the same sense that Fallout NV casino’s are gambling.

Yes they are black jack is black jack

Simulating risk =/= real gambling.
You know, you’re supposed to be taught as a kid to separate fiction from reality…

Can you cash in SL for real money like pokerchips?

okay, what if i change the specification to:
“poker chips that are only redeemable for rewards/prizes at checkout”?

They promote gambling for children, which is already unethical.

Pegui 12 is War Thunder. If they want to include gambling it should be 16.

If you lose all your SL it can lead you to spend eagles.

What does it matter if you can’t convert SL into money?

People buy boxes to get rewards, many of them exclusive.

dude… you need to start working on your behaviour. i am this close to sending a detailed report of you and your forumposts to the moderators detailing your disruption here in the hopes that they at the very least reprimand you. i have tried so many times to be civil with you and trying to make both yours and those who respond to you’s forum experience better, but you keep on doing the same thing over and over.

its not a simulated risk though, you don’t get the SL back. simulated would mean that nothing is wagered or that the thing you wager exists in infinite amounts that are instantly available.

SL has a real world value, the fact that that value only goes one way is irrelevant to the discussion.
Gambling is defined as using something of value for the random chance of getting something else of less, equal or higher value.

SL has no real world value, you cannot extract SL for money.

think one more step here, can you purchase SL with Gaijin coin? yes.
can the vehicle coupons be sold for Gaijin coin? yes.
the fact that those cant be converted back into real money does not matter, its not a factor in the equation. you still use an item of value for the chance of a different item of value, whether that value can be converted back into IRL money or not has nothing to do with it.

No there is notable difference and that is content only realistically available via the investment of real life money.

You are investing SL, that can have payout in terms of vehicles you cant get without paying Gaijin or vehicles you can sell for GJN, aka monopoly money.

Now one can abstract SL into being available via real money, but realistically i dont think thats much of a concern, but it is gambling with notable payoff if you win that doesn’t really exist in the same way as a mini-game.

Like sure Picture Poker on Super Mario 64 DS is gambling, but its also very innocent (i think very few take much issue with that kind of gambling).

But if i suddenly could either pay Nintendo to unlock Waluigi, or spend currency that takes time to accumulate (or if you are dumb, buy that currency with IRL money) to then have to gamble in Picture Poker, then its a bit different.

Is it actual Black Jack or Casino at that point? No, i dont think anyone would argue it is, but i think most people on some level would think its different and on some level closer to actual gambling than what Picture Poker is on the DS
