Wonder why… maybe requiring players to spend multiple millions of SL to play on an unleveled crew is something so nonsensical that people dont even want to play the event

They 100% play it a lot its just that they have developer accounts where none of these things are issues. They have hundreds of millions of SL and GE and every vehicle unlocked

I was very interested in this game mode until I figured out how many people were cramped into the figurative phone booth.
Not to mention the respawns.
From high hopes to utter disappointment.
One match was one to many for me.

In my main nations I have 2-3 crew slots with level 50-75 crews for GRB. So the requirement for multiple aircraft crewed isn’t as big of an issue for people like me, but for people who just play ARB it is.

They don’t NEED more than 1 - but they can use more than 1 - eg they play more than just ARB so have multiple slots for the other modes, and to have equipment repairing springs to mind immediately.
Also the claim is that the MAJORITY of people play ARB have only 1 slot - no evidence was offered to valdate that claim so I’m going with it being PIDOOMA by the person who claimed it

The first bullet hell was such a nice thing and since its all about time spent in match alongside activity you could get guaranteed good rewards in most all matches unless you took every headon you could.
And gaijin took note of that and made it so you could only respawn the same vehicle once and only if you burned a backup alongside tweaking the reward and activity coefficients.
The mode was made worse because it was a good way to stock grind and thats not allowed
If gaijin didn’t like the rewards and wanted to adjust them thats fine but just give back the three spawns for a single aircraft so we can just throw ourselves into the brawl with the planes we want to use without reservation
That was fun
This weird 2 vehicle requirement and needing a backup to spawn the same vehicle twice so many people won’t respawn more than twice is not necessary

not really, old system most people pulled whatever plane they wanted to play as many times as they could until the match ended, now people just AFK in the second one to not get a CD, it’s basically ODL but the enemy gets an extra victory point.

1- this is a limited event purely for fun so why do you care about competitiveness
2- ok, just add back the SL spawns like it was before, why am i going to use both a backup and multi millions of SL and hours spading crews for a three day event

It’s such a fun game mode that lets you play the plane rather than the missiles.
Personally I prefer multiple spawns of different vehicles over multiple spawns of that same vehicle so that you don’t just play meta/best vehicle. It keeps the fighting more varied as different planes are appearing as the game progresses.
I like the map size, I feel like it’s small enough to get into a scrap but big enough to try to flee/manoeuvre.
I would really like to see a RB and AB version if this becomes a permanent addition. Many people have spoken about how air combat is much more fun in GRB due to the lack of markers for enemy planes.
Also, can we get some fresh acrobatic smokes added in? Rewards for challenges maybe?

After playing the update mode for a while I have a few thoughts

The BR system is great, especially with the available aircraft extended. That said, it’s not really fine tuned to aircraft performance without missiles and it shows. I think in the future, especially if this might become a more permanent mode, we will need separate BRs for it rather than just using GRB BRs.

The new respawn system has its advantages, like how it doesn’t force you to pay in advance anymore, however I think it also has flaws. Previously you had three spawns in one vehicle, which made the mode perfect for specific research on individual vehicles. But now even with backups you will have to use two different vehicles. This shows in battles now where there is far more people leaving after just one or two deaths than last time. Ideally the fix would be to simply allow up to three spawns per vehicles in this mode, but keep it as a repair cost rather than the old respawn cost system.

The rearming zone is perfect now, no more long waits for new ammo especially for aircraft with low ammo count. It would be nice to have a way to repair as well, though I am not sure how to implement that in the mode.

Rewards seem lower than last time, which I’d say is a problem. They are more akin to GRB rewards than ARB now. This is very noticeable with vehicle research RP already, but especially modification RP suffer from only spawning once or twice per aircraft. While some of this might be due to people spawning less and giving less targets, and the limited spawns being their own problem, I still believe that RP rewards need to be higher.
Still, I think it’s really nice to see the mode being worked on and this is a great step towards having it be a permanent mode. It’s a fun change of pace from regular ARB combat, as well as a really important (otherwise missing) tool to help research vital modifications of aircraft for the main modes of the game and I’m excited to see it become even better at both of those things in the future.

I can’t lie this game mode seems incredibly unfair for anything that isn’t a Typhoon at the top BRs, out of the multiple games I’ve played, I’ve only died once, and that was to another Typhoon lmao.
Would maybe be good if they made the Typhoon half decent lmao
