Buk m3 now can kill tanks now… use a allie drone and fly very low near the tank you want to kill. lock the recon then the missle slap the tank.

Is Buk-M3 still ARH? I mean… SARH would make much more sense, each launcher has it’s own track radar and people on the forum can’t seem to find an official document that it’s ARH…

Buk M3 missiles are ARH. There are no SARH missiles for buk. Stop complaining

There is also a patent for 9Б-1103M, which includes the Slanets family of Active Radar Homing seeker heads.
The “A” in 9M317MA stands for Aktivnayav. It means that 9M317MA is the Active Radar Homing version of the missile.

Unfortunately no. There are no export manuals or anything like that for the 9M317MA missile that states whether it is ARH or SARH. Do you have proof that this missile is SARH?
I do have a brochure for the export variant
As well as the fact NIIP still gives the illumination radar, but this one can be atribued to the fact it can control M2 launchers, so i am still considering it, but as a more of a 50/50
Another thing is NIIP does not mention anything about ARH guidence in their M3 description, something they would totally do whie listing main things about it.

Yea but Russian export weapons are generally worse versions than the ones they use domestically. And the 9M317M(E) is based off the 9M317M missile, not the 9M317MA. Only the 9M317MA has a ARH seeker
