Bucaneer bomb drop delay

its also the same for the Il-28, Tu14T and Yak-28B. No matter what type of bombs you bring, not even the big bois like the Fab3000m land anywhere close to where the bombsight shows. (Single fab-3000 loadout) at least not in dives (well, ofc unless you keep the bombsight on the target until the bomb is finally dropped). To get the bombs to go where you want when spading it in air rb you need to dive at an angle where you can keep the bombsight crosshair on the base the whole time during the bomb series release because they will go way past the target if dropped level. Ridicolous

Combined with the massive nerf for bombs explosion radius (which apparently was necessary because lots of maps are the size of a post stamp) but makes cas finally a bit less obnoxious, that makes playing the Yak-28 absolutely pointless. Bomb doesnt go where it should, and if its like 20 m off a heavy tank does absolutely nothing, back to base. Kinda ridicolous for a bomb with 2220 kg of tnt equiv. at least that was the case when i spaded that pointless dissappointment of a plane like 2 months ago just to discover its an absolute waste of sp to bring in ground rb. what a waste of time.

Though as op already stated, that problem was a bit less pronounced when trying to drop in level flight, which obv is bs and basically not possible most of the times since you cant just fly in level at 3000 m alt, line up the bomb to targets you cant see, since it does nothing if its just slightly off.

Hm, I think it started to be botched up when the 1 second delay between weapons of different types was added years ago (which made it impossiblle to e.g. drop an F-84F’s Mk.83 and Mk.84 in the same CCRP attack…)

A delay with different kinds of weapons I think is just a delay with the weapon selector switching weapons. But im talking about a delay with the same weapons being dropped

That indicator is relatively new, but being able to select between wing and BD bombs might be new to certain aircraft like the B-52, but not older airframes like the Buc. Id have to check it out later

Most modern planes have the selector, it’s similar, or actually identical to a pylon switch system.

That’s on almost every aircraft. Easy fix though: move the bomb spawn down a bit and MAKE IT SO YOUR OWN PHYSICAL BOMBS CANT HURT YOU

Sorry I’m just sick of that bug
