Bucaneer bomb drop delay

Because you said it right before I said what I did, so I didn’t see it before I said it.

Nope, the sound is just an ‘armed and ready for release’ sound, essentially they have a safety secondary that’s deactivated when the plane is at a low enough angle of flight.

It was a around 5 message post… you could have read that

Does it in other planes I’ve played though, the IL-28 is one namely.

that still doeskin say it is not a bug lol?

I mean, it’s two unrelated planes, you’d assume that it’s intentional. I’ve always assumed that because that’s how they work IRL.

source?

It might not be a Buc specific bodge fix though. A lot of aircraft with internal bomb bays might have the same wierd delay that doesnt necessarily need to be there.

As I mentioned earlier, there is also a wierd delay going from wing mounted bombs to the belly mounted bomb on the Harrier. There isnt any explanation for that and it might be the same for “internally” mounted bombs, just having this extra delay for some reason

Made a bug report for these two, if its for all i will make a new one

then why release the bombs at the same angel just later?? what difference does it make

Just thought of this, could be that they’re considered separate weapon entities in the secondary selector.

It is possible.

I do also know switching from exterior mounted bombs to bay bombs are considered dependent weapons, you can see on your selector if you are bombs, between L, R, F, and BD. (Left Right Fuselage and Bay Door)

Yeah, though I dont think that indicator necessarily has anything to do with Weapon selector in this case, because its always been a thing on some aircraft, even before that was added. Its just showing which bomb is going to be dropped next

I think wing and body mounted weapons are treated differently on some aircraft, like say the Harrier or Buc. I generally dont notice on the Buc though because I run different bombs on the wings than I do internally.

In contrast though, ive not noticed any issue on something like a Jaguar

Maybe, but I’ve seen that I can switch from exterior and bay door bombs when playing with bombers in air realistic.

Hmm… Ive not on the Buc, though again I rarely run all the same bombs.

I’ll keep an eye out

I’ll look again tonight, yet again, I may be wrong and extrapolating ideas from things I’ve noticed.

With the same number of bombs ( single vs. twin racks)?

it might also be different on different aircraft. Like it might be something new to something like the B-66 or B-52

I always run twin on the wings, not tried it with the new single on the outer pylons yet

Maybe, I feel like the indicator for the weapon location was a more recent change to all planes, mostly pertaining to rockets, to aim them easier know which is going to launch first.
