An Ajax with Javs isn’t really real yet, theoretically an Jav on the RWS is possible, but it hasn’t been done and there’s no indication that there’s not technical limitations preventing it.
There’s also the lengthened Ajax IFV with a unmanned turret featuring a 40mm and Javs, but nothing to say its functional at this time, rather than a mockup or something.
Mostly just a waiting game unfortunately, there’s also a non-zero chance Ajax gets canned entirely at this point tbh.
Yeah, I mean the CRV Block 2. I honestly can’t tell anymore what counts as a primary source and what doesn’t. Despite official documents listing 200 rounds as “ready-to-fire” with others in vehicle storage, we end up with about 360 rounds in a fake “ready-to-fire” rack meaning if that spot gets hit, the tank is left with zero ammo. What’s so complicated about having 200 rounds ready and stowing the rest somewhere else? Rheinmetall’s official page states the interior is fully lined with spall protection (even claiming protection against medium-caliber rounds, i.e., 30mm), yet currently, we have none of that. The belly has three layers of protection to withstand mines, but in the game, we’ve got what amounts to a sheet of Plexiglass. I also work with 3D modeling, and I don’t see any major issues in creating them, given that I already have the code for everything.
A difference could be: caliber, additional equipment, various types of rounds, or engine.
The vehicle’s standard, mass-produced spall liners do not constitute a difference between tech trees. With all due respect to Gaijin, tanks have certain fundamental structural requirements that you have to adhere to otherwise some tanks become unplayable.
@Flame2512@Gunjob With the new aim120 changes on max fin AoA, will we see changes on Sparrows/Skyflashes maximum fin deflection? Can’t find info on the 7Es/skyflash fins on the F4J Natops, F3 CTTO nor in the long XJ521 document. Do you guys have something on british documents for both of these missiles regarding max fin AoA? maybe on the F4K manual there’s something, I know there’s a section for the 7E where its explained by detail but I don’t have it.
However for the AIM-7F/M I can find it explicitly written that there’s a maximum of ± 22° of rotatory motion, And looking at the missile spreadsheet, its written as 17.9°. While the 7E has 13.18°.
And on the “Rhino’s New Bullet: the AIM7F” for the 3rd tactical fighter sq - > BASICS ON THE AIM-7F
The AIM-7F has some signiflcant improvements over the
AIM-7E-2/3:
Reduced minimum range
…
On top of this detailed aerodynamic data exists for the sparrow III regarding control surfaces in different wing positions( ±0°, ±10°,± 20°) for pitch, roll and yaw and 0° and 45° and speeds from M1.50 to M4.60. Interesting when the 7E,7E-2,skyflashed have ~13° maximum.
I don’t get Gaijin, though; they could at least fix one top-tier tank in the line. They don’t want to touch the Challengers? Fine. But at least fix the CRV or Ajax so there’s a good tank available.
