But I don’t want to marry a missile?

I must admit they are quite fun

I launched them at 40km at an ADATS and you can just watch them slowly fly over and orbital strike him from like 10km up

The range is kind of absurd if you fire from altitude

No choice, shotgun marriage.

but current trajectory planning Cause the missile to frequently lose its target, or fly over it before diving… Diving too late, resulting in failure to even hit stationary targets.

Hmm, maybe, but you cant be sure.
Im going to launch my ALARM outside Central European Time, just to be safe.

Sure, best to be safe.

I just have a feeling, that if we forced the current ALARM to do vertical climb right now, it would fail to sustain itself.

The current problem is caused by gaijin cutting out this crucial part

We have DIRECT mode now.

Seemed to do a 45km shot pretty easily when fired at 5km alt and mach 1

My only gripe is they they don’t come perfectly from above, if they did they’d be a lot harder to intercept, they’re still pretty hilarious tho

edit:

Just did a 55km shot no problem lmao

That’s correct; its current guidance head may lose lock due to the tracking rate being unable to keep up with the excessively high climb rate… This has actually happened many times in my tests, and since the iog is not working, it will fly straight upward like an unguided rocket, continuing to climb.

Some shots are better than others, I’ve had some nice top downs.

Could do with a dynamic range display like we have for missile on the radar

On another note, PGMs, gained some serious IOG drift

That would be your RHWR, you should be using that to line up on a threat and that is also your range estimation.

The top down seems reliable as long as you give it enough range

Every one I’ve shot has hit fine at 10km+ range

Even at 55km the motor was still burning as it was flying over to the target

its a shame but considering they now have MITL it should be fine, you can just manually correct their guidance

but it will do like this in the game
