depends if they’d give spear a mach launch limit. if it shares the same pylons as brimstone currently has then the higher count would be nice too.

i think high subsonic is all we know so probably similar to brimstone
I mean its possible but SPEAR Glide is just a mock up right now, waiting for a product launch from MBDA and I will be making a suggestion off that, but there isn’t enough information on SPEAR glide right now.

It cant really be compared to Brimstone. Given that Brimstone is a rocket motor and Spear-3 is a Turbojet. But yeah, high subsonic would ba reasonable guess
Spear-3 shouldnt given its powered, and so Id love them in a SAL+GNSS configuration ASAP.
Spear-Glide though is un-powered, so unless there are sources for higher than mach release speed, it will probably be mach 1 release speed and render nearly useless like Spice-250 is

Not really British anymore but was at Midlands Air Festival and caught the Strikemaster Pair display with the ex-Omani Mk.82A G-SOAF and the ex-Saudi Mk.80 G-SOAR now painted as from Singapore.

Man every time I see them I contemplate if its worth dropping 4 grand for a 30 minute flight in 1 haha. Still my fav jet plane out there.
Yeah seeing them made me want to book one of those flights, but then when I look at my bank account I realise I’m fine with just watching from the ground.
Was a very good display although I think the MiG-17 that was there stole the show.
That one was an incredible sight to see.
Overall though the show was great, the Swordfish, Catalina, Spitfires, Mustang, B-17, OV-10, MiG-17, and Strikemasters were amazing. I got about 6000 photos to sort through and I’ve managed to go through about 1000 already.

Will say that the “reconsider in the future” bit scares me on that 1 as someone who wanted to do the funi with the bucc for so long.
Though, “retain manual control” is… weird no? Martel in WT is automatic track, not manual in the current form isnt it?
