considering the mig 19 can out climb it (wich could have more to do with the mig 19 fm rather than the lightnings) i think another look wouldnt hurt.
i think thats a mig over performing issue bc i have reported a few issues with that myself
The 19 is completely made up in war thunder
For example the MiG-19 in dcs can only sustain 10-12 degrees per second at sea level
Yeah, always knew the fm on it was completely wack. Especially when it can just pull verticals on anything it could see.
But its the complete opposite for the lightning, the thing barely wants to stick at high alt with how sluggish the acceleration is and how high the speed bleed is when making gradual turns.
I’ve been beaten by a MiG-17 that’s with me going to high altitude to go supersonic and BnZ it
No matter how much i extend and tried to turn around it would just reappear in my turn circle
The 19 completely outclasses the Lightning
But that’s not the case irl
This is an issue gaijin has for all low thrust swept wing jets. They don’t know how to model them.
It’s why the A jet sustains 7G and the hunter sustains 8 when irl they sustain 4-5G
As other people have said, the Mig-19s FM in war thunder is basically a mythical UFO that gaijin made up

The Alpha jet’s FM is also just completely incorrect, in almost every way it overperforms to an insane degree
It should be notable slower than the Hawk, yet ingame its better

The alpha jet can very literally go toe to toe with things like the F-18
It just turn infinitely and can basically float

The only way a F18 could lose is if the F18 is being flown by a chimp.

The Alpha Jet once the fight starts slowing down can actually turn with the Hornet. In game that is.
You should of been here for the lightning bug report saga back in the day I had about an hours worth of video clips testing its flight performance comparing it to the flight manuals we by and large managed to get it corrected by quite a lot
Well at least one British plane managed to get corrected.
Wish the same was done for the harrier
