Gaijin don’t do 1x gunner’s sights, IRL the other zoom option is “unity” (otherwise known as 1x)
Imma be using the CITV alot IG

legit has the same zoom lol
Wait they didn’t even do 1x on the CITV? Lmao
Bet the hull is still made of soft as poo aluminium isn’t it
Upon inspection it’s now all RHA and HHA
IRL it has optical unity (1x) vision, 6x optical magnification, and IIRC up to 4x digital zoom for both. But gaijin don’t do 1x magnification, and IIRC don’t do digital either
I feel like ive seen 1x zoom somewhere
Good to hear.
If they can’t model 1x for reasons, why not just give everything that should have 1x a 2x magnification? It’s actually ridiculous being fixed 6x on gunner AND commander.
Not for ground though. They said as much, regarding why the SA and SEP Abrams don’t have their 25x magnification mode
They explicitly do not do digital zoom, IIRC they nerfed the Apache’s zoom because it turned out to be digital. If you think that is digital, then file a bug report about it.
Challenger 1’s commander optic has it.
If you look through rank 1 vehicles, you’ll find a bunch of unmagnified optics are set to 1.8x
Commander optics get 1x where applicable
All sights with zoom poor enough get set by gaijin to br 1.9x-3.5x as default
Correct and it’s very applicable to the ajax.
Ajax’s front plate armour is actually fairly decent against IFVs with up to 30mm guns
this makes me want to get it
and then i remember that gaijin completely shat up the research order and now i have to get like 5 more vehicles before it
Still no strikemaster miniguns (and ofc, no 20mm yet xD) sadge.
though the armour improvements to ajax over time make it tempting, I still am unsure.
I do wonder if the churchill engine changes made it more useful xD
Accepted, but I wouldn’t rule out that they’ll correct it in 2047.
remember it can get even better with the PSO to take that protection to 40mm +
I’m sure this has been asked here already, but is there a reason the AJAX has no spall liners? Can we expect them to be added in the future?
