In my current match the Stormer’s missiles were literally passing through targets. I fired at a non-maneuvering Su-25 (the missile only worked on the third hit), a straight-flying drone (couldn’t hit it), and a friendly F-4 (also couldn’t hit it). You guide the missile and clearly see the moment when it goes right through the enemy without causing any damage. Incredible!
Server replay, the first:
The second:
And then on the third hit, when the missiles didn’t even directly hit the aircraft, it ended up being shot down:

I can’t understand why, in any situation involving anti-air units, the Stormer is always the one to suffer first. If you can’t implement the system properly — then just give it a proximity fuze.
The stormer has been subject to the extremely common phase through since its introduction.
You are mistaken if you think gaijin are capable or even remotely interested in resolving the problem.
Imo, it’s the lack of prox fuse coupled with speed. The servers just can’t handle the combo. Especially in a high ping zone
I think they need to give the starstreaks a 5cm prox or something.
Aim at the nose and then after 100 ping add a metre lead per 20 ping. The missile is hugely subject to lag. If you have a server with <100 ping, use it. I stick on EU with 28.
If you can’t reliably judge a metre, half an aircraft length per 100 ping works good enough too.
Just needs LMM i feel like.
Out of left field here:
So far I like the Chieftain 900, but… Hearing the Leopard 1 engine sound while I use it is doing me in. It’s so incorrect hurts. I see there is still an open bug report from the dev server about the engine sound incorrectly being the L60 instead of the CV12, how it ended up with Leo sounds is beyond me.
that was my report
out of current engines Leopard might be the closest in game, but there might be others
the distinct sound of the CV12 in game is caused by the structure of the cooling fans iirc, not the engine itself, you can notice this with other CV12 equipped vehicles such as T-72M4CZ
Sadly i’m not aware of any video of Chieftain 900 driving with audio, though i’d be happy to be wrong
I really want to know what the issue with adding those would be.
The Leopard uses a V10, and they have an extremely distinct sound that is nothing like a V12 due to the firing order/exhaust pulses. (tangent but they have completely different harmonics, 5/10 cylinders produce a root/maj3rd harmonic and 3/6/12 cylinders produce a root/fifth)
Totally fine if they need to use a stand-in, but even something like the Continental V12 from the M60 would be more correct as they at least share something as basic as engine layout.
Gaijin and sounds are wack. Doesn’t help, they seem to like changing the same ones every few updates.
I almost wonder if they have a few different options for some vehicles but cant pick which one is best. So they cycle through them all and see which one the community likes the most and then just stick with that one
Anyone else still having issues with the ZA-35 on Breslau, its seemed to have been passed to the devs a couple of times about 7 or 8 months ago, but its still broken…
DragonFire laser system at the MBDA facility in Stevenage, UK today (20/11/2025). Britain’s ground-breaking DragonFire laser has shot down high-speed drones in new trials, as a £316 million contract is awarded to MBDA deliver new systems to the Royal Navy from 2027.
MBDA UK will work in partnership with QinetiQ and Leonardo to develop the capability that will be delivered almost five years faster and be continuously improved, representing a fundamentally different rapid approach to defence procurement. Its most recent trials at the MOD’s Hebrides range involved drones which can fly up to 650km/h - twice the top speed of a Formula 1 car - including a UK first of above-the-horizon tracking, targeting and shooting down such drones. The laser system costs just £10 per shot and is accurate enough to hit a £1 coin from a kilometre away. It is a more cost-effective method in comparison to traditional missile systems, which cost upwards of hundreds of thousands of pounds per shot. DragonFire will be fitted to a Royal Navy Type 45 destroyer by 2027
Live fire;
Uk once again proving they got the sickest weapon names.
Lets hope we have Type 45s in-game by 2027 :P
I would love modern missile combat with ships but that is going to need a new gamemode, right now the most modern ships are mid tier.
Yeah… But you never know over the next 2 years :D
