If we get Brimstone 2, it will certainly be kept in consideration.

sad

It now has a IRCM module but it currently does nothing

Yes. It’s really confusing. The existing issues regarding the AH-64E submitted to the UK, which should have DIRCM, have not been approved. But look at these photos. Are the areas circled in red infrared countermeasure devices? If not, what are they?

They are sensors that most AH-64E have unfortunately not LDIRCM

Is it just Americans that have ldircm in their apaches?

They’re the rear-facing AN/AAR-57 missile approach warners

I once tried to search for the contract reports on the AH-64E signed between the UK and the US in 2015 on the DSCA, but the earliest records available on the DSCA only date back to 2016…
Another thing that saddens me is that this gentleman once replied under my post saying that the British AH-64E would have some unique features compared to the American version… But unfortunately, I haven’t seen anything particularly unique… (If the uniqueness lies in the lack of DIRCM, then indeed it does.)

He does say they’re visual differences

But now, what we see in the game looks like a complete copy and paste… If it’s because my eyes aren’t sharp enough to spot the differences, I’d appreciate it if someone could point out where they are:(

I was reffering to the visual model. As there are a number of differences between the US and UK models.

Here are a few of them:

With more on the other side too. This is by no means all of them.

Unique parts are just that we have different RWR antennas and LWS sensors, and the countermeasure dispensers are in aerodynamic fairings.
The American ones have the same MAWS as ours, but since they added CIRCM, both front and rear sensors are now located on the wingtips. Probably to make direction-finding for the laser emitter, easier

ok,thank you sir

I still don’t get how we don’t already have them. They’d still be one of if not the weakest top tier AGMs

I think we should stop attacking Smin over the Brimstones. Endlessly repeating the same questions to a community manager is unlikely to affect a situation that’s within the responsibility of entirely different people.

tbf that’s specifically about Brimstone 2s, which would still be SAL but with a better motor and HOBS launch capability (and possibly a proxy fuse?)

Well, it would be great if it was added.
