British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

That’d be quite nice that cannon is pretty insane

Man hoe annoying. Lgbs are already very off meta st least if they worked.

They might be at higher BRs, but lower BRs… Id call them the meta.

Too date, my preference at 10.3/10.7 is Mk13s from the Jag and at 11.7 it would be Mk13s from the Tonka.

But currently, neither are usable as CAS. Period.

Its infuritating

Q5 with lgbs is pretty strong

I want all our CTA40 endeavours tbh

are you talking about the ALR-94?

having the F-35B as the same program was a huge mistake imo. an F/A-18 and F-16 replacement as modifications of the same airframe makes sense, but the AV-8 is too different

was active skyflash an actual weapon used in british service or was it just a mockup.

Im not sure if a seeker was actually ever built for it. Let alone an actual test fire occur Flame or Gunjob would know though and I genuinely have no idea either way.

But from what I recall. it was a serious endeavour, that would have held a few advantages over Aim-120A (mostly a seeker with different strengths and weaknesses) but ultimately would have been a Skyflash with ARH (its probably got the SuperTEMP upgrades, but im not sure) and thus far more limited in range. In the end it was decided that it wasnt worth it and the project was scrapped in favour of just buying Aim-120 instead. Though iirc, parts of it lived on in the Meteor, the Ramjet concept was originally concieved for a Skyflash upgrade or something.

In-game… It could allow for an ARH slinger at 12.7 for Britain (Maybe 12.3 on a weak enough platform, but that would probably be pushing it quite a bit), but there isnt really a good option for that which wouldnt benefit more with just sticking with Skyflash DFs at a much lower BR, like the Hawk

Active service? No, flight trials etc yes. But then we selected AMRAAM and abandoned ASF. Tornado F.3 maintained controls for ASF in its weapons system until it left service. Wasn’t even removed in a software update the manual just says don’t use it not selected.

Isn’t there an Ajax variant with Javelins? That could easily go to 11.7

The AJAX IFV variant has a Javelin launcher, but its not a standard AJAX its more of its own vehicle

I believe a Javelin can be fitted to the remote weapons station of the AJAX, but idk if we have any photos

Found one with about five seconds of googling, I’d take longer but I want to grab a meal deal for lunch.

EDIT: Found this which is potentially sillier, welcome back CVRT striker.

That image is not of an AJAX, that is a Javelin fitted to a Stryker

Unless we find one with it actually fit to an AJAX specifically, gaijin may just refuse to add it

Found a reddit post and an article that explains where the image is from. It’s called the CROWS-J but I’m unsure if the british use it. If all else fails, we can just have the brimstone equipped ajax and use that in conjunction with a scout drone.

Will that be FnF Brimstone?
