The AJAX for once is a system not skimped on it has the best Gun yhe best optics (lol thanks Gaijin)
It has the best sensor suites, cameras however all this kit weighs a lot.
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure whether the Iron Fist active protection system on the Blackjax is the same as the one on the Challenger 2 Black Night, or the lightweight Iron Fist version on the Israeli Eitan.
its the Light version so not as good as the black night
Is there any documentation showing the differences?
Iirc the Ironfist on BK should also have softkill aps too but we dont have that yet.
There are far too many versions of Iron Fist, but the one on Blackjax looks to be the same as the one on CV90, and that one is a Light.
It was an option, but BN was never seen with it.
BL755 and JP233 when?
Never too op
British weapon doesnt exist its a clear marketing lie
90th Anniversary of the Spitfire the other day

Good News everyone!

Now this is a very cool hesh shell fired from the chieftain and it proves a logical theory that hesh pen improves the lesser the angle
This would buff countless tanks and everyone should jump for joy with the knowledge that HESH does not need to remain this bad and can in fact nearly triple in pen for flat numbers if theory on the flat pen is proven correct
However that is down to the dev team and how they handle this report
Okay bye
Already accepted lol.
Since this project is between UK and France i think this fits here ?
2030 will be the date for the successor of Meteor which is named “Comet”
So that will be when Meteor will be integrated on the F35 and then it will be 10 years before comet gets integrated
I guess this is the english article of it: UK and France begin work on Meteor successor missile
But is it supposed to be different than the Meteor MLU which was supposed to done with Sweden/Germany?
Yes.
New design, probably using the experience in terms of engine that was acquired for Stratus too as it was a big step between Safran and Rolls Royce.
And a range superior to even things like pl17 with how it was worded about it planned to be better than whatever stuff Russia and China are doing.
Im having a blast shooting down B52s and Bears in the Lightning, it has a purpose now (untill people stop playing the heavy bombers)
I forget if this is the same HESH as used in WOMBAT or not, I know that the charge is different but dont remember if they use the same/a similar warhead.
Ayo, someone can clarify some doubts about the Meteor?
1 - whats the most optimal altitude for its Ramjet engine? Conventional missiles the higher the better (except when the air is so thin that they cant maneuver)
2 - How is the flight profile to reach its max range (some say its ~250km)? Using the 100km in 90s figure, it translates to mach 3.2, if that 90s is the max fuel it has, it will loft like a regular missile when it is running out of fuel? (Considering AMRAAMs are 90% sub mach 4 (in game), i can see it working, but it would need to have quite a big battery)
Maybe it would burn more fuel when travelled like 85km or 90km to reach mach 4+ and loft?
This is purely personal guesstimates, based upon basic understanding of physics, discussions on the forums, etc
The issue with a Ramjet there is that unlike other rockets, it doesnt carry oxidiser, so the engine may perform better when not quite as high. So I would hazard a guess its probably around 40k ft
I think I read somewhere it had 60 or so seconds of fuel, but I think that is a guesstimate and its an unknown figure. Though at Mach 4, it would only need 72 seconds of fuel, which I dont think is an unreasonable figure.
My guess is that if the target is within the LSZ (so within 100km), it wont loft or wont loft that much (depending on launch conditions). So fired at 30k ft, it will probably go straight for the target.
