British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

I missed my report being updated somehow, but apparently 9M’s IRCCM will work in front aspect. Will have to try it out and see if its true or not

And…?

So, now we have infantry, is it worth bug reporting air burst “versions” for existing weapons?

I’m wondering if “Blackjax” from DSEI 2025 is the basics for the AJAX 2 ??

Properly modelling the Airburst tactic of shooting the ground just below your target with a HE so it skips and detonates?

though in fairness, we already have a few airburst weapons in game, like the 155mm HE, the proxy is meant for airbursting above the ground (maybe an idea for Artillery to change for the Infantry mode?) or Time fuzed HE on things like the CR3

I’d probably think of bug reporting it when Infantry is a part of the main game, rather than a Beta test. But you could always have a go i guess

I was thinking more having PW4s explode a few metres above the ground

Can only dream of actual Brimstones working

I imagine it will be something like that.

AJAX 2 seems to be intended to be a streamlined and slimmed down version of AJAX, being around 36 tonnes (with the CRT seen on Blackjax it would probably be close to 34-35 tonnes). Having the IRON FIST / Trophy fusion of Blackjax would also make sense.

In terms of ingame, now they’ve given the AJAX back it’s blowout panels it honestly seems really good. I played a few games and dropped a nuke on my third, the blowout panels mean you dont get one-hit in the turret anywhere near as often and they also add 35mm of extra armour to the’s right turret side and front.

Apart from the mantlet, the turret crew are basically immune frontally to 30mm autocannons even with APFSDS. Hopefully they follow through with my report to buff the mantlet (that got accepted luckily), if they do the Ajax would be amazing.

I really do wonder where the 36 tonnes part came from. It’s started popping up in a lot of the articles on Ajax all of a sudden.

Thanks for nothing I guess APS

Col de Bretton-Gordon explained how this would have an impact on the weight of the vehicle.

"The combat version of Ajax, the recce strike vehicle we’re talking about – is 36 tonnes. But if you put rubber tracks on, you’re taking at least another tonne off it.

“So getting down to a much more manageable size so the additional capabilities, when they come in, I think will make Ajax more effective and also make it a better environment for people to operate in for long periods of time, which you know could be weeks or months.”

"Claims of excessive weight, for example, are misleading. At around 36 tonnes, with potential reductions through rubber track integration, Ajax sits comfortably within the expected envelope for a vehicle of its class. "

It seems like the variant we have ingame may actually be 36 tonnes, rather than 38, as I believe we have the recce strike variant

The source is a commentator though, hes not an official MOD source

All APS except for the one on the very front of the vehicle are totally non-functional. I’ve had them intercept APDS rounds that should be far out of their velocity range but that’s it. They don’t even detect incoming missiles. Gaijin is yet to acknowledge the issue let alone bother to fix it.

The AJAX for once is a system not skimped on it has the best Gun yhe best optics (lol thanks Gaijin)
It has the best sensor suites, cameras however all this kit weighs a lot.

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure whether the Iron Fist active protection system on the Blackjax is the same as the one on the Challenger 2 Black Night, or the lightweight Iron Fist version on the Israeli Eitan.

its the Light version so not as good as the black night

Is there any documentation showing the differences?

Iirc the Ironfist on BK should also have softkill aps too but we dont have that yet.

There are far too many versions of Iron Fist, but the one on Blackjax looks to be the same as the one on CV90, and that one is a Light.

It was an option, but BN was never seen with it.

BL755 and JP233 when?

Never too op

British weapon doesnt exist its a clear marketing lie
