If you provide me with a source I can look into it. I WANT the Conq to be buffed. But RoF is one aspect I do not thing can be made any more lenient to actual real world performance than it already is.
Yes the shell deals less damage than the fox 30mm APDS, the damage is roughly that of a 37mm AP shell (no caps, just base AP). I have looked into shell weight but was unable to find any sources regarding the LG1 shell outside of gun trials, they confirmed how wrong the dispersion of the APDS is. Ingame you can be off by more than 2m at 1km Range while Testing of the gun concluded that a fully shot out barrel had diviations of around 1m at 1km while a new gun had less than 20cm diviation at 1Km when using the LG1 shell. HESH performed worse for obvious reasons. But as per usual those trials give mixed information as the conclusion has “first shot” hit probabilty at 1500m at around 85%, which seems strange considering the previously stated accuracy and no mention of other factors(like crew estimations of range being faulty, weather conditions and so on) being considered for that estimation.
I once proposed adding the M103s AP shell, as the gun could fire that shell making such an adition at least historically authentic if not fully accurate. But as usual the community is unpredictable with what it accepts and what not. And apparently adding a shell the gun could fire but was never issued to the vehicle is not ok…for the Conq.
It is fine for other vehicles, and shells that are entirely made up like the APFSDS on the 2S38(Last info on that: 2022 russias military agreeded on having a APFSDS shell for the 2S38 developed, but there has been no information of any such contract being issued to the RND department.) or the 47mm APHE shell of the Yak 9K and others are fine. Or the fact that the L1 shell on the later MBTs was also never issued to these tanks.

Maybe I’m lucky, but I feel I can kill them 75% of the time with my first shot, though there are times where I feel it should have killed but did not for reasons that elude me
I mean the tank chat reloaded, the revist of the conquoror has it lower than 25 seconds a round, somehwere closer to about 18 if I remember it rightly however been a while since I seen it
The other massive issue with teh conqueoror was it had issues with the shell ejector so that always buggered up the loading times.
It overall wasnt a great tank TBH IRL it was plagued with issues, between the electrics and engines.
Good gun though.
From the Challengers I have played I prefer them over the Abrams. Have actually survived hits in them that have disabled or outright destroyed my Abrams in same scenario. That said, both need their armor profiles and models corrected but as expected Gaijin continues to sit on their collective fat slav arse and do F-All about it.

Challenger 1 is good and at a fair BR CR2 is just plain bad.
M1 is superior in every way apart from optics.
I would have loved the OZ M1 AIM in the Brit tree!

That theory falls flat when you see Clickbait and M1 KVT sales.
It was put in the US tree because the US have a larger player base.
It doesn’t, given Brit is a minor nation and most of the top tier premium are mid if not dogshit. People who grind Brit that doesn’t already own one of the high tier premium , can get one of the strongest if not the strongest Squadron vehicle in the game to grind out rank 6-8 , given they slap a talisman on it. Maybe while they at it they can finish the Heli. Assuming the person we talking here actually think before buying not buying the highest tier premium there is in the game , then sure.

That’s what I was saying though they could have easilly used the KVT as a Squadron vehicle or the Click bait and then added a “Gulf war” Special premium M1A1 while keeping the Austrailian vehicles in the UK tech tree.
Simply put the USA in game didnt need the M1 AIM the same as Germany didnt need the 2A4M. I’m not questioning the commercial success of these vehicles.
Well it is money at the end of the day. Suck to be minor nation I guess. You either get nothing or get the borderline unusable as a premium or as a new vehicle. Chally 3TD is still one of the worst top tier tank btw

Then you’re completely blind if you can’t see something that’s pretty obvious.
Apart from it’s velocity it’s a good round I do feel it’s efficacy drops off when you face the ERA armoured Russian tanks T-80U and can bounce off M1 angled hulls.
I find it one of, if not the most reliable rounds between 11.0 and 10.0 tbh.
Also bit of advice, stop shooting T80s in the ERA, even if you can go through its just not a smart spot to shoot, either shoot under it or behind it as the t80U ERA doesn’t cover the hull till the center point.
And for the M1 well that’s just gaijins servers at their best.
