Do you know if they changed something with the shell ballistic calculator this patch, I have asked around, and its not just me having this issue but shells seem to be doing too little damage and non-penning things they absolutely shouldn’t.
I have particularly noticed this with the British 13.5" where the 6" secondaries do more than the primary’s.
It did feel like I was doing more with barhams secondarys but her 15 inch ap has always been a bit crap

Yeah they have changed something definitely. I also realized it yesterday with Helena (I needed SL)

Yep, felt the same with both 15" and 16". Slamming shell after shell and something just doesnt feel the same

No as far as I know. The only changes happened recently are:

Fix of the bug where shells and splinters ignore armour. This was done near the end of last major so many people didn’t notice it and associated it with the new major update

relocation of crew for most of ships. Now more crew members are stay inside their combat stations inside citadel than before, so if your shell didn’t penetrate into the most vital area of a ship, they will do less damage than before
Speaking of personal experience I didn’t find anything change to the damage of shell itself, last night I just instantly removed 50% crew from Yamashiro with one well placed 3-gun salvo of 16in shells. A few days ago I did something similar to a Mutsu with Hood’s 15". The main cause of unreliably random damage output is more likely associated with the large spread of shells, which developers plan to improve in the future and I am working promptly to collect historical references of large calibre naval guns.

It certainly seems, anecdotally, that something is “off.” I have also experienced the secondaries seemingly doing more damage.
So do we get bismarck and tirpitz now then ???
