Britain Naval Tree - What’s left to be added for all BRs

Probably :D

Not that there was much difference. Didnt get modernised like the QEs did

In August–September 1924, the 3-inch guns were replaced by a pair of QF 4-inch (102 mm) Mk V guns.[4] During the ship’s 1927–28 refit, the shelter deck 6-inch guns were removed and another pair of 4-inch AA guns were added.[5] These were replaced by eight QF 4-inch Mk XVI guns in twin turrets during Royal Sovereign 's 1937–1938 refit. A pair of eight-barrel 2-pounder “pom-poms” were added in 1932 abreast the funnel, and two four-barrel “pom-poms” were added in early 1942 atop ‘B’ and ‘X’ turrets.[6] Ten 20 mm Oerlikon guns were also added in 1941. Another six were added in 1943.[7] Royal Sovereign was initially equipped with four submerged 21 in (533 mm) torpedo tubes on her broadside,[8] though the after pair were removed in 1932. The forward pair were also removed in 1937–1938, during the ship’s last prewar refit.[9]

Personally, I want them more at the moment, QE or Warspite would be nice. But bored of the 15" slingers. So either would give something different. Especially KGV with 14" HE

unfortunatly they started will like no AA and got hood level AA with the 40MM’s and 20MM’s

Yeah, but at least we wouldnt be screwed by things like major differences in armour or primary guns

but the KGV’s will be the true AA boats in there most modern form

Yep, plus the 8x twin 5.25" guns actually sound like they would fun to use.

True, but more dakka is always nice to have.

Yeah, allows you to be more aggresive without worrying about being isolated from picket ships. I love sailing Hood or Renown into the enemy spawn

the 40mm’s on renown are so fun to kill destroyers and lightly armored cruisers in EC games now add like double the amount and you have hms Howe

Yep, or sitting below the enemy air spawn :D

Now you say it, ran one match in AB, and was struggling to get any effects at longer ranges against, think it was an Iron Duke and some french BBs? Didn’t feel like the AP was doing the damage it should, so I put it down to me not being accurate enough to hit the spots that’ll kill a ship.

Well given the new leaklist… I’m hoping that’s not everything, because adding a Revenge Class but only for the USSR is quite frankly insane.

They usually give original nation sister ship update before(Cavour-Novorossiysk) or same update(Duca and Kerch), so not a big worry.

I’ll add her to the list, is there a suggestion do you know?

I believe there is one for Calcutta, although I dont recall if its 6" or 4" guns. If its pre-39 then its not a prblem, but if its also the AA refit then it will be almost cut & paste although sank in 41 (?) so never got HE-VT, and don’t see a place for Carlisle alongside her (unless one goes premium/event).

I personally think a late war C class AA with VT would be a much better fit than a TF only ship, plus Carlise holds the RN AA record which gives her a unique historical edge.

so somtimes this dose not matter the main example for me his hms grafton which sank in 1940 but some of her sister ships did make it long enough to get VT rounds so they have given it to her especially as she is in the 1934 config

But you cant assume dates dont matter, Gaijin is hardly known for its strict accuracy poilcy until they are.

Maybe just not bother and see if Calcutta ever arrives and in whatever state Gaijin decides?

I facetiously predicted we would get Arkhangelsk before an R-Class or Queen Elizabeth in my discord back in December 2021. Just after Scharnhorst was announced in the trailer. Disappointed but not really surprised either.

Jinxed it, did you :)

But seriously, if they do go ahead and add Archangelsk and then not add a British equivalent that’d be insane. Not only did Russia not build it, they also practically made it unseaworthy (by their own admission)

Well the Napalm review is relatively scathing, has anyone gotten this ship, I haven’t played much naval since the last patch and now i’m grinding for Eurofighter.

Primary conclusion seems to be the lack of effective secondaries, the lack of armour and the complete lack of RoF which would be mitigated if the shells were accurate and the alpha damage was truly very significant.
