I think that’s a pretty awesome nickname and does kinda embody what they were built for.

Anyone else having issues with shells not penetrating when they clearly should at like <8km. Either that or they’re doing no post-penetration damage, but the new UI seems to say they just don’t pen?
(I’m trying to spade Queen Mary but literally every shot I take seemingly does absolutely nothing doesn’t matter if its a Nassau, Derfflinger, Scharn, Arkansas, Bretagne or Paris Kommuna)
Perhaps 15" shells have ruined me?
Well I have not played a naval game this update but I was test sailing renown and repulse comparing the aa and they really struggled to kill the BB in the test drive
Yeah I have been getting loads of non-pens but I’m thinking its more a skill issue from me as I also am dying quickly.
But the tally over the last two days, non-penned a Derfflinger with 13.5" APC, non-penned an Arkansas’ barbette with 13.5" APC. I gave up with QM for the time being as the constant uptiers were annoying me and switched to 7.0.
Failed to penetrate an Amagi anywhere close to a barbette/below upper deck with Barham’s crap shell from 7km then proceeded to be unable to penetrate the same Amagi with Hood’s much better shell from 9.7km. Also I suspect Hood’s innaccuracy to be both a factor of dispersion and of her length.
(This has also made me realise just how broken Amagi is as she’s basically got equal armour to Hood, with better everything else plus an extra turret, it seems naval is very populated at the moment so hopefully we can see some damn decompression to at least 7.3 because Amagi and Scharn are leaps and bounds ahead of everything else).
i do fell that they should drop the whole acuracy depends on your gun caliber and just make it closer to historical levels
I agree, there is no naval gun without historical dispersion data, or good indicators.
well i sure do love hitting both ends of a battle ship with the same salvo using one of the bench marks for comparing battle ship guns
will the late war british battle ships get their HE-VT when they come to game

Sorry if this is the wrong thread but can we do something about the Barham’s ammo? It’s unbelievably crappy. I’ve been trying to score points with this hunk of junk all weekend and its guns are about as effective as spitballs. Major regret on the wasted grinding for this sad excuse for a 7.0. More like 6.0.
Is it me, or has British 15" inch guns been nerfed hard this update?
They seem to rarely pen and when they do, they do no damage at all.
I read armour not ammo, so shall tweak.
They were amazing, but after the update the guns feel like potato cannons. I cant seem to kill anything with them. Even with hit after hit after hit.
Ditto. Even cruisers are presenting a problem to take down. And I know it’s the ship and not me b/c when I then spawn in the same match with the Iron Duke it cleans house - instantly 4 to 5 times the damage output as the Barham. Barham is effen broke down busted and not really even playable atm. Should it be reported?
I ve been finding the same thing with Hood as well. So I think it was just a nerf or change to the 15" guns and less so Barham alone.
Are you suggesting the entire top tier British naval line is unplayable? Kinda hope that can be quickly addressed by GJ if so. 15" guns are supposed to be sledge hammers. But I can’t pen a thing. Playing the Barham is no fun at all.
