I don’t think I’m going to be playing naval at this point…
I just don’t think we can compete but we will see. I don’t see a world where Vanguard holds up here.

well i guess that is what happens when they don’t want to model the new turrets for the kgv or even the lion class i just pray there is a big BR separation to let the WW1 dreadnoughts breath finally
That is my thought, we will likely have the new top tier equivalent of the Alaska as our best ship.
We might not detonate easily but nothing will have an issue penning and taking out the already poor firepower, in terms of number of guns reload rate and lack of armour.

Looks like Vanguard gonna get supercharged shell. I think shell be fine. Maybe not the top dog, but a solid ship. Unless ammo is above the water line which is unusual for Britain.

Magazines will be low, but machinery will bleed easily, AA will also bleed easily, guns will struggle to pen many of the top dogs particularly Yamato, Sovetsky and Bismarck maybe Iowa too, Littorio if decapping system works, Richelieu it depends on how good the TB is. All of those ships bar Yamato, Littorio and Richelieu will outreload Vanguard and all of them can lol-pen her.
I don’t really see why she’d end up at the same br as them all. I don’t really understand why they wouldn’t go with the Lion class here instead of Vanguard.

Well everyone AA will bleed crew . I need to see the stats of supercharged shells. Ammo being low is a huge plus. The only ship she’ll struggle maybe is Yamato others don’t have that good armor. Well and obviously Bismark turtleback… i feel like with some angling and keeping your range ~10km she should be fine. Really cool battleship.
You can calculate this by yourself. After ballistics algorithms update the range table in game matches real life ones by less than 2-3% of error. Using real life range tables and WT’s penetration calculator you get the supercharged 15" APC to outperform Rodney’s 16", on par with Lion’s Mk.II 16" and Bismarck’s 38cm. Ofc not at a superb level but I won’t doubt it being more or less sufficient in most of WT’s engagement ranges.
As for Bismarck, forget about its turtleback much like Schanrhorst’s. They both have magazine over shell room layout and fairly short barbettes, so Bismarck is likely to share the same vulnerability to fire in the ammo elevators like Scharnhorst atm.
and besides, the meta strategy is to just send a wave of Swordfish against it

That’s not too bad, plus great speed, decent armor when angled, great ammo position, great AA. Should be s solid ship. And this is not the last option for Britain.
Do you think KGV will be better?
That’s good news about Bismark. Looks like it won’t be that hard to deal with. Because the spam will be crazy.
KGV would have better armour than Vanguard but significantly worse firepower. She will struggle against those tough meta ships likely coming this update.

It’s a shame Britain didn’t build them a touch bigger with the on paper designs for the BL 15"/45 MK.II and the 30 knot speed.
But treaties and all that. Certainly would’ve helped us out here though xD.

does anyone have access to plans of lion or Temeraire as I know they have similer levels of armor to the KGV’s but with more GUN
