Land Rover is owned by TATA from India same as Jaguar since Jaguar is under Land Rover
Rolls Royce was bought by BMW long time ago and uses its platforms and engines tech.
Aston Martin uses the platforms and engines from the Mercedes AMG sector
McLaren is bought by Sheikhs and Lotus is basically owned by Geely a Chinese company
Ohh and Vauxhall, yeah thats a Peugeot basically since it belongs to the Groupe PSA
Rolls royce is my bad, the rest are still not German.
Aston Martin only used AMG engines for a limited selection of cars, there are a number of engines which they emphasise are designed in-house, such as the V-12 twin-turbo.
Also Vauxhall basically a Peugeot… Ownership does not denote the same product nor being basically the same…
Equally MTU aeroengines, owned by Rolls Royce UK (the aerospace and cars are different companies), does that make them British?
Interesting thought exercise as I would say no, now i’m curious what you think.
Telford doesn’t produce the CR3 the turrets are all built in germany and shipped over to telford where old CR2 hulls are refitted and used to mount the german turret we literally do not have the capability to build a tank anymore the only thing natively built in telford is the new armour package thats put onto the LFP and UFP also telford is owned by BAE Rheinmetall so its essentially entirely german
The turrets are being produced in the UK: Challenger 3 demonstrator turret structure released to RBSL - News
BAE Rheinmetall is a British company: Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land - Wikipedia
Regardless, I believe this topic has been concluded now :)
