Yeah… and like I said, there are certainly a few good options that oculd be added, with SA as a ground sub tree, then adding a few SA aircraft, where appropraite would be fine. I just really fear them adding even more stuff from India or other slightly random commonwealth stuff. Just doesnt fit in my opinion. But with so few aircraft additions each year, everytime I see suggestions for none-British additions my dream of dogfighting in a hawk with red arrow livery whilst spewing Red, white or Blue smoke gets a little further away. That’s all. I think it’s gone past insane that we’ve not even seen a premium or event hawk yet.

Gonna be completely honest with you there, most likely reason we haven’t seen stuff like the Hawk, the Gnat or other british built planes is Gaijin currently riding the fan service train, rushing through Gen 4 to get the modern jet crowd into the game
There are plenty of pre Gen 4 jets that have been “passed for consideration” years ago and they all would have been great fits for the game, yet we never heard about them again after being passed

Yeah… Now that Gen 4 is here, I do want them to rush to the point where we can get our Gen 4. I love seeing the Typhoon at air shows, always have and will be a sad day if it ever stops flying at airshows.
But I do actually agree. They jumped too quickly into Gen 4. We could have stuck with Gen 3s for a little longer and flushed them out better. Created a slightly wider margin. 99% of the reason why people hate the Tornado F3 is not the F3 itself, its when it was added. Even if it had come with the F-14A, then it wouldnt have been anywhere near as badly recieved.
But alas that ship has sailed. But it is a shame that some nations get 5 or 6+ additions per year and others get 1 (2 if they are lucky)

Ah yea that was funny as hell but yea saying the Commonwealth isn’t a good idea but then saying one nation would lead into yet another sub tree which could also mean the SA was a failure.
Even though SA is cool it’s still is a failure as it doesn’t have a top tier MBT.

Mhm Australia would of been a better choice as not only they are unique but some tank have really good armour. Plus they used Abram’s and Leos too.

The SA sub-tree did fill a couple holes, if the Concept 3, the Ratels and the Eland weren’t a thing I would never have made it past the Churchills. The ZT3A2 provides a tandem ATGM carrier, the Rooikats are great wheely-bois and the G6 is, well, it’s the G6.
I don’t think that sub-trees purpose was to fill gaps anyways, it always seemed to me like it was added to provide some much needed variety in a tree that otherwise could have ended up looking like the Israel ground tree

Maybe, though the impression i’ve always gotten when speaking to people like Smin, is that SA was added because britain had no choices for Light tanks or IFVs otherwise. That Britain is entirely dependent on commonwealth nations for those kinds of additions.
And even for all those you mentioned, Im fairly certain there is a British equivalent.
I do agree with the diversity idea. I’ve personally barely touched a single SA ground vehicle (though I really odnt have much interest in ground) but its the rationale behind the SA tree always felt a little insulting. If the reason given was to add diversity, then fine, its done a good job. But i’ve always had this notion when speaking with people like Smin that it was added only to fill holes.

I guess we can take this away that we might have a F/A-18 from ether Canada or Australia.
I didn’t even tuoch the SA line well going for the Skink and ADATS. until sortly before the sale just to grab 1 vehicle for the crew slot I was buying for that line.

I’ve still not research any other than the early SPAA (and i’ll admit the 4.3 one was a good addition, filled a nice hole)
But i was waiting for the foldering before researching the Stormer so I can skip the ZA-35 and the ATGM thingy probably wont ever get researched now its foldered. Which is the solution they should have done for most. Folder them. If you want to skip them, skip them, if you want to go for them, then research them (though a seperate tree that you can ignore works just as well)

I just wish the SA one that is the same BR as the Skink was 4.7(It made my favourite line-up nice). I don’t know how people think it’s better then the Skink.
The Skink is better every way but the guns.
The folderning was nice but came far too late for me. I was already at the cheaftens when it happened. by the time the sale happened I had enough to unlock the last ground rank. tho I wanted the floating car so I’m working on the Vicker MK. 11 before I move into the final rank.
