Thrust curves. It’s actually underperforming at static missing about 1500lbs of thrust

Well if they give proper Rwr and radar to Gripen A most people will be ok with that i think.

More than okay right now, I’ve flown all the new aircraft and nothing is as fun as the Gripen. The big boiz like the Flanker and Eagle feel so heavy and spongey to fly, where as the Gripen does everything I ask of it. It feels much more purposeful in its controls.

Gripen C will be VERY strong if that flight model stays as such with the improvments the C offers, Doubt the Gripen will be “OP” but it will be able to compete very well with everything added this update if it stays as such

Flight performance isnt the issue, awareness is.

Lacking proper Rwr will surely hurt its survivability at ground rb since most people will use Gripen with gbu loadouts.

Without knowing whats up there is certainly a gamble that most people will not like to that.

İ agree but according to gaijin other major improvements shouldnt change the outcome(which is bs btw).

Thats why i dont trust anything coming out from their mouths, especially after how they did twisted mind games about JAS39C situation.

Do you know if it has the radar gimble, it should be able to notch perfectly whilst maintaining guidance of a SARH.

Now that looks very very nice, all the more reason why I think the A should go at 11.7 with just 9L’s and Skyflash and the C with 9M’s and eventually AMRAAMs at whatever BR it ends up at.

It might make SKYFLASH a bit more viable with such a strong lock.

Nah, Skyflash is always limited by its seeker rather than the radar set guiding it. This was very evident when we went from W-List to Stage-2G on the F.3 you can hold a strong lock all you want but if the missile cannot see the target its of no use.

Isn’t EF wing loading over 312? Not saying you’re wrong, I just found a source stating that, would love to compare sources.

That’s still AJ Viggens radar though, surely it will get changed to it’s actual radar before release right?

it depends on the weight. i took dry/empty weight as combat weights always differ
but with a wing area of 51,2m² and an empty weight of 11.000kg its 11.000/51,2 ~= 214,84

Damn well thats disappointing, also, your videos on the ADV I think will come in handy after I get out of FGR limbo, because noone has really covered the thing properly.

Yeah, it hasnt been updated but i imagine they are working on it, it is the weekend so i wouldnt expect anything new till monday at best

As far as I’m aware, from what investigation I’ve seen in this and other threads, the A and C should not have different engine power. Feel free to correct me but I’m pretty sure the Gripen C’s engine is just more reliable and has slightly better fuel usage, which I’ll freely admit is a tangible factor in game. Apparently the C maybe has slightly more afterburner thrust? I don’t know about that though, feel free to correct me.

Would be a very big deal for anyone playing SB
