Britain Air Forces

well won’t be able to do that I’m afraid

No worries cheers anyway tho

Next week i might be able to spade the SAAF one

I know @Gunjob has the grippy so will see if he can provide spaded thrust. Gunjob can you provide xray of grippy spaded thrust

He’s too busy pulling off ace combat style post-stall maneuvers.

Also the way the canards wiggle is fantastic

So it’s not got 20kn more thrust like people are saying then. That’s actually less than it should have?

Unsure I don’t have any figures to hand for the Gripens engine.

yeah that might be a smart idea. just depends on how expensive it is to buy a new airframe vs replacing all of the internals

People are saying it has 98kn in the dev server

The C has 8208.7155145 kgf according to SAAB but that could be for later Gripen C which the SAAF properly have

As of 2003 the thrust should be 80.5Kn. Gripen C technically debuted in 2004 because of the blurry lines between A+ and C.

I’m still confused as taking even the weakest rating for this engine still gives the Gripen a positive thrust to weight and everyone i’ve seen states a less than 1-1 T/W.

i just don’t want them to nerf it as a F16A is still better then it

Hopefully they don’t, with energy its performance is really quite insane, the issue is generating that energy which is why it suffers in rate fights. Other than that it should be good. Stalling it has an autostall recovery which I can imagine may be overtuned initially.

Its also very easy to throw into a stall while in mouse control. Recovery is trivial.

Though I’d show just how fun this FM is;

You think they will nerf it and how bad do think
I hope they keep it comparable to the F16

Unsure, if it stays how it is I’d be pleased. And if the Gripen C has a bit more thrust well that’s even more fun to be had.

So will i but i feel its going to be nerfed in the live i wonder how much
