Swedish Griphen A is getting a full A2G loadout. Iitening II pods, GBU 24, GBU16 and GBU12
Up to 640 flares/chaff on the inside 4 pylons big you take aim9s, and 320 if if you take RB74 on the inside pylons
It’s extremely likely that the SA Griphen will get the same treatment, minus any ARH missiles.

Best solution is to change A model to C.
So in other words you don’t think the Eurofighter should be added, you think a fictional aircraft vaguely visually resembling the Eurofighter should be added.
The Gripen C makes no sense as you are right.
The A may have had a CW illuminator in either the prototype radars or the mk.1 radar as publications from the time list compatibility.
Even the swedish internet has near no data on it, what is for certain is that the C model cannot guide sarhs under any circumstances.
if they want to add an ahistorical SARH, at least give us an AIM-7F or M. Skyflash beyond 11.3 is a joke

I agree, but its worth noting the UK is responsible for the changes between gripen a and gripen c, furthermore we build the wing, refuelling probe and the hms and the radar is also based on a british radar.
The Gripen C was originally called the SAAB-BAe Systems Gripen and was only renamed after BAE used money laundering in South Africa to bribe a sale and got caught.

Im inclined to agree, but I expect it to be 11.7 with the MLA/MLD now, unless the FM is cery good its worse than any equivalent 12.0 aircraft and if they were 9L’s and not L/i’s the weaponry is also worse.
L/i is an upgrade of the L so it probably doesnt have the smokeless motor which the one they showed in game has

39 was designed to carry active radar missiles, so it didnt get the illuminator
In the 1982 JAS decision, it was decided that the JAS 39 should be equipped with an active air-to-air missile. This means that the legacy of the fighter RB 71 Skyflash cannot be used on the JAS 39, as this missile is semi-active and requires an illumination transmitter in the aircraft. The JAS 39’s armament system was designed with this in mind, i.e. without a lighting transmitter.

They tend to give the same news but look at the aircraft a bit more and go through the available loads puts on the English stream
