It looks like a jet powered j7w1 which sound like a lot of fun. Regardless of it lack of history it would give people a reason to go down the dive bomber section of the tech tree as well. A real shame it’s not available for new players.

I’ll have to see if I can find some sources Gaijin will accept, but the R2Y2 v1 should be re-added as an unfinished prototype, the issue is the misconception that the R2Y was a prototype for a long range recon plane, however the requirement for the recon plane was canceled before the prototype was built. Later they decided that they wanted to build a jet powered attacker and decided that the R2Y would be a perfect platform for it and the project was repurposed and a prototype built to serve as the testbed for the jet attacker, around 80% of the construction for the first prototype (and 2 partial prototypes) was done AFTER the project was repurposed to developing a jet attacker.
The V2 and V3 are at best potential concept sketches but probably completely fictional and should stay gone.

Gaijin also need to drop its BR from 8.0 to 7.3, I don’t see any reason it could be 8.0 to against those monsters

it’s not though, both the airframe and at least the TB30 engines where both built, there where also 2 more airframes partially built, given that Japan canceled the original recon plane project in July 1944 and the 1st prototype was completed on April 1945 9 months later it’s clear the work was done as part of R2Y2 development not the original R2Y1
