Brimstone 2

With all nations now recieving top tier SAMs and notable buffs being applied to the KH-38MT. It is time for the Tornado Gr4 and all 3 Typhoons to get a weapon system better than the Hellfire missiles (SAL Brimstone 1s) they currently have. It is time they get an actually viable A2G weapon for top tier GRB because at the moment 15km SAL weapons vs 40+ km SAMs just doesnt work.

Ideally we would finally get MMW to give true FnF capability to the Brimstone 1s, but as that seems unlikely anytime soon despite it probably being weaker than the IR guided AGMs such as the KH-38MT, the next best solution is the Brimstone 2. This AGM increases the range of the Brimstone 1 by 200%, not only giving it much greater reach, but cutting down on the loiter time required to be spent guiding an AGM onto the target with the laser.

Additionally, the Brimstone 1s are so weak, they are not worth ever taking into gamemodes such as ARB or ASB and Brimstone 2s might actualy be worthwhile.

It is time for the Tornado GR4 and Typhoons to recieve parity with most CAS aircraft already in game and at their respective BRs.

Should they add Brimstone 2s?

not unless they also add JAGM-F

Isnt that just a weaker Brimstone 1?

kinda
but they carry more per pylon and they’re eject launched instead of rail launched

No, not really.
Mach 1.5
24+ km range
4 per pylon
F-15E could carry 28

100%, with all the new spaa coming into the game having a SAL only weapon on a top tier jet is borderline unplayable

Unless we can ripple off the payload (or at least get them fnf) on a convoy I can’t see any reason realistically to bring brimstones over PGMs in these modes. Or paveways. Even FnF it would still be a toss up.

Remember guys

FnF Brimstones are too advanced for the game, but KH38MTs (existence yet to be proven outside of a brochure which gaijin themselves are inconsistently saying isn’t a good source) are not too advanced for the game :DDDDD

Pretty sure it should get a much better IOG as well which can make it like a gnss guided agm

thats brimstone 3, where we got data about the specific IOG data as well,
But then remember GNSS got the potential failure radius now, with the payload of the brimstone it would mean, it does ducking nothing, gnss is not pinpoint accurate anymore

Gunjob has an internal report for Brimstone 1 only having an IOG drift of a few metres at most. Compared to the dozens of metres we have currently.

i am not suprised that still didnt get touched

I’ve heard enough,

buff the KH38s more, and nerf the Abrams.

And how did the developers react to it? Why did they even nerf the missile’s accuracy?

? brimstones accuracy was never nerfed

It just has Hellfires drift. And no idea

I believe it was when they changed the CoE with all munitions, incl. those with GNSS.

I dont think the drift has ever changed. It was always terrible

Then I must be mistaking/remembering something else. I know earlier this year they made changes to a bunch of munitions

They changed GPS guided weapons from 0 drift to 10m before lowering it to 5m drift. There are reports for some like GBU-39 to be as low as 1m. But Brimstones don’t have GPS they have IOG which wasn’t affected by the change iirc

TLDR they nerfed the Paveway IVs but not the Brimstone
