There’s no way
does anyone know if there was any kind of experimental APDS/HVAP ammunition for the 14.5?
China developed an apds belt for its 14.5s, no idea if its compatible with the KPVT thou.
Well, it does already have HVAP in game.
right, i what i meant was ammunition with higher penetration that could justify putting it at a higher br.
just came from playing the BTR-152 and I must say, with a full AP-I(c) belt on it, it would hold its own pretty easily, since it pens almost 50mils at 10m, so a flank gone well could kill a Sherman easily up until 70m of distance at least.
Maybe a 3.7 or 4.0 vehicle? a light tank of USSR at those BRs would help.
+1
A little too much with just 1 14.5mm gun
yeah maybe it is to high
if they gave it the full AP-I(c) belt like I said, it would be a more tolerable vehicle to play and it would compensate the lack of multiple guns.
An even faster BTR-152 with a closed top, better protection, smoke grenades, probably a tighter turn circle, better acceleration, amphibious and recieves a little coax.
Also the ammo isn’t as exposed, the BTR-152 can be ammo racked by a 7.7 coax
In case you are worried about the pen, you should have no trouble killing shermans from the side at 80ish meters, its almost the same pen as the Ostwind (except the APHE part), your mobility and firerate is on your side after all. You can give it the full AP-I(c) belt and scouting if you want, maybe even classify it as an SPAA to make it cheap.
Fair enough, but I’m still not a fan of a 60s scout car fighting Shermans in the first place.
Unfortunate
Because you are not surviving + 7.7 with this, and same applies to a lot of cold war vehicles below said BR

Rockets seem attached to the gun elevation would provide a little extra fire power when you out done yourself and up tiered yourself to 6.7.
i hope they add the calliope scope sight for the somali fiat so that we could aim rockets
You won’t be able to aim them at all. They are welded in place.
are you sure is there anouther image of the gun not being elevated? Looks like its on a hinge.
(I am fine being wrong)
Found some others
Seems to be on a hinge. But there are options for Gaijin for something a bit more useful.
I meant for the Somali vehicle.
okay
yea you right i hadnt seen the model i thought that thing was attached to the cannon but its on the roof
Georgia has a version which swaps in a 23mm cannon in an RWS: BRDM-2 (2A14): High Caliber Reconnaissance
Azerbaijan has the ZKDM, which is a comprehensive upgrade that adds armor, a new engine, and a new turret with several weapons, including a 23mm GSh-23L and a quadruple 57mm or 80mm rocket pod: ZKDM: The Ultimate Scout Car
