From my experience the Dragoon shouldn’t be at 9.7. I believe 9.0 would be a better fit, 9.3 at most. I’ll compare it to the M3A3 Bradley (BR 9.7) for this.
Compared to the M3A3 Bradley…
- … the Dragoon is a lot larger and therefore easiert to spot.
- … it lacks in firepower as it doesn’t have the TOW launcher
- … it lacks engine power (flat maps are okay, but most maps just aren’t flat at all)
- … it only has a crew of 2 (Bradley has 3)
- … it has weaker armor
- … the ammo is easy to hit, as it’s only covered by 20mm of armor frontally
- … it can’t track planes by heat
- … it has “worse” zoom for the gunner (x10 max), (Bradley has x12)
- … it has less ammo
I hope that the BR will see a change.

now, tbh I don’t usually play the M3A3 Bradley nor the M1296 but:

As you can see the M1296 is lighter and faster and has a similar reverse speed as the Bradley (forgot to mention it also has controlled suspension)
On paper it’s equal. But when you look at it in game, due to the turret shape of the Bradley (or at least I think it’s because of that) you get 50-80mm on the turret cheeks. On the Dragoon you get 9-21mm.
M1296 is perfectly fine at 9.7
Ask for the Bradley to move up if you think there should be a difference in BR
Oh, ok. Also, I agree that since it doesn’t have ATGMs while the Bradley does at the same BR it should have a BR change
Obviously, the Dragoon is faster in the top speed area and it lighter. But, spaded the M1296 gets 350hp I belive, the Bradley gets 600hp. So the Dragoon gets 14.06hp / ton, while the Bradley gets 20.07hp / ton. I am having trouble to get the Dragoon to even 60kph on most maps.
Yeah, ik, I was just joking
Sorry for the typos here and there, should’ve read before sending!

I do play the M1128 (that has the same hull and engine I believe) and I realized that by inclining the vehicle forward, the acceleration becomes greater for some reason, idk if it’s a bug or no.
I’ve heard that before, 100% a bug. I can’t think of any reason as to why that’d increase the top speed

You should use this “bug”, its pretty effective
I shouldn’t have to :/. They have to put more power into the engine or something. Having to use a “bug” to get more performance isn’t the prettiest.
Anyways, after all my arguments I hope that you get my point
I’m not sure about the engine power IRL but it’s probably same-ish as the one in-game, so they can’t just add more engine power without proper official documents proving that, IRL, the engine power was greater
gaijins awful traction/transmission power code, if you are on an incline (going downhill) it literally gives you more power than if you were on a flat surface, and it gives you less if you are going uphill. if you incline the suspension forward it thinks you are going downhill, so always gives you more power.
I think add some crews in troop compartment may be better
30mm are on a hard learning curve due to playstyle changes most players don’t make.
It’s okay at BR 9.7, my issue with the dragoon is that it’s wheeled vs tracked making the agility similar to bradley subpar but speed sensible.
It has autotracking with proxy rounds so it does okay in that department.
Good thermals.
The height can play in or against your favor compared to bradley being good in all maps.
Overall, 9.7 is fine but with the Bradley existing at 8.3 offering more it’s overshadowed.
