History and introduction
The Boxer project, initiated in 1993 by France and Germany, UK join soon after in 1996 year. After 3 years France leave project, but after 2 years Netherlands joined project. The project produced twelve prototypes and introduced the “Boxer” name in 2002. The UK departed the project in 2003, while the Netherlands and Germany proceeded with orders of 200 and 272 vehicles, respectively, with the Dutch deliveries starting in 2013 and the first German Boxer delivered in 2009.
On 13 December 2006 the German government approved produce of 272 Boxers for the Bundeswehr, to replace some of its remaining M113 and TPz 1 Fuchs vehicles.Production of Boxers had been scheduled to commence in 2004, but production was delayed and the first production vehicle was delivered to the Bundeswehr in September 2009
After long way KNDS presented our today hero Boxer RCT30 with unmanned turret mission module. This configuration is also referred to as PuBo (Puma-Boxer) as the turret same to the Puma infantry vehicle. At DIMDEX 2024 a RCT30-equipped Boxer was shown, the vehicle also fitted with a passive radio frequency sensor that is intended to shoot down small unmanned aerial vehicles. Also is a new feature was MUSS complex in version 2.0 . There are 148 planned vehicles to produce by needs of the Bundeswehr, and for which a decision on procurement is expected later this year
Firepower
The firepower of Boxer RCT 30 is the same as IFV Puma have (because have same turret)

This is fully stabilized MK-30-2 ABM (like mounted on Puma).

Also Boxer RCT-30 have Spike-LR2 launcher (Mells) which contains 2 ready missiles

Protection
As we can see on presentation of hull armor rated as stanag 4569 4+ (which means part with different stanag rate)
As stated in stanag 4569 level 4 provide protection
from heavy machine gun (14,5 mm) with ap rounds in distance 200 meters
Frontal protection rated as stanag 4569 level 6 which provides protection from automatic cannons (30 mm)
with AP or Apfsds rounds in distance 500 meters
