This last update has bots stealing kills. You can expend a ton of shells from start to finish on a target, using the Iowa, only to have a bot being awarded with the kill, with minor activity, and no credit to you, whatsoever. Don’t believe me, ask around, or go play a few rounds, it’s ridiculous!
This needs a serious review.
SO! I am not saying you are wrong, but I want to point out that with the new “Battered” award, and the addition of a “Severe Damage” mechanic to Naval Battles, I have seen an improvement in my match results.
BUT! If you are not noticing either of these two new additions when you are doing a tremendous amount of damage, keep track of which match you had an issue with as it is always possible that you have found a new bug.
Posting screenshots of your results and a link to your replay will help in narrowing down what exactly is going on with your matches.

It is very easy to find your own matches by clicking the check box for “Replays including my participation”, then click the “Search” button:
Then, click the arrow button at the top right to expand the replay, then click “copy the replay link” button to copy the link for the match that you have an issue with, and paste that link here. Again, screenshots are always helpful too:
If you do find some information that suggests that there is a bug please feel free to ask for help/advice on how to properly submit a bug report and I/we can post more links+screenshots for bug reports.

Nah, bots are still stealing kills with no attributed awards.
Had the fleet escort Emden steal a kill off me for no ‘severe damage count as kill’ award.
That severe damage mechanic is iffy though. Hitting magazines and detonating them without kill, or 80% crew kill doesn’t seem to count as “severe damage” maybe it’s buggy, but it doesn’t seem to have consistency.

But I agree with him, the bots taking the kill last moment or team mates, it still steals your score for the event
That might be an issue with how the escorts are NPC units not “bots” that are replacing and treated as a player unit.
