I noticed that US bombs do little damage for some reason. For example the 2000 lbs doesn’t have the 19 m kill radius, same for the 4000 lbs and its 54 m kill radius. I have plenty of replays where 2000 lbs bomb lands within 10 metres of the enemy and it just doesn’t kill him.
This screenshot is from the last match. You can see the bomb landed closer than 19 metres but it still failed to kill the Ferdinand.
Calm down me playing A2D-1 and bombing the battleship ww1, I didn’t do anything to it, 4000lb fell inside on the preview and disappeared didn’t even explode xd, and two 2000lb bombs also did nothing, only after reloading and 2nd attempt something succeeded
I noticed this too today when i tried to play US 7.7… dropped 4000lb, 2 1000lb and 4 500lb on spawn and there was 2 tiger IIs and an anti-air and watched replay the bombs were pin point good hits and the craters looked like the bombs were like 50kg-100kg lmao
This issue is still a problem. I dropped 2 1000lb bombs right into the tracks of a tiger 2 in my last match and only got a hit register. When checking the bomb information it says they have a kill radius of 12 meters. I am landing bombs repeatedly in this radius and am only getting “hit” and watching the tank getting showered in fragments in the hit preview.
12,000 lb bomb dropped on a tight group of aa in trucks from 800m should yield a little more than a single “hit”. And no i didn’t miss. the bomb hit directly in the middle of the group. Un-armored trucks. One single hit. Oh no, the bombs are NOT nerfed!
The bug is back. This is from today. After few drops that should’ve killed the target, I tested it with multiple bombs and most of them do minimal damage.
Another example, but also one about how inconsistent the game is.
Here is my issue with this bomb.
First it landed where the cursor is at roughly 5m from the target 7m is “assured destruction of ground vehicles”
If Gaijin does not want the IS 4 to be killed by a 500kg bomb that is fine. But I took out the engine which is the furthest from the bomb and the shrapnel went through the side armour via overpressure.
The side of the IS4 is uniform with a weakspot at the front wheel, closest to where the bomb landed.
So If Gaijin does not want the IS-4 to die to such a bomb it should not disable the engine in this scenario.
But if i can destroy the engine in this scenario I should also kill the crew via overpressure, as the crew is closer and behind a weakspot.
So it has to be one or the other, otherwise it is just inconsistent with the rules of the game.
For those wondering the following rules would apply:
Assured destruction in x meter → broken
Overpressure/HE penetration → broken (both for the engine which should be behind too thick of armour to be overpressured at that range by that bomb, and the crew which should be overpressure killed by that bomb)
directionality of shrapnel. ->broken, the shrapnel went through the turret to destroy the MG on the roof as well as through the vehicle to destroy the track on the other side
