Bombers are now invincible in Tank/Naval AB

As you may know, you can spawn interceptors, attackers, and bombers in Tank Arcade.

As of the bomber update, bombers are now essentially invincible in Arcade. Interceptors are barely fast enough to begin with, most of the times being outrun by fast bombers such as the Vautour, which is given health buff as a part of the bomber update.

Even if the interceptors have enough luck and get spawned faster than a bomber, they can only set it on fire, which takes minutes to do damage, which is too short for the Arcade air window.

Newer planes like the IL-28 and Vantour are not super fortresses; they were not designed to take hits from 30mm and become tanks while doing so. They should be as survivable as the A-10 at max, which can be taken out with one sweep and are explictly designed to take shots.

An equally relevant mode is the naval mode: bombers are now take shots after shots from the flaks, which are already weakened for gameplay reasons, paired with non-functional radars (naval radars can barely hold a lock over a giant high RCS bomber).

They are getting obliterated in Naval still.

Can confirm been shot down in my H6K many times. Same as my G4M.

Are you saying it should have been taken down by a 7.62mm like an A-10? Bwhahahaha

Typical tiger tank post.

Which is as survivable as any other fighter. It should be toned down a bit, but it’s better than what it was. Maybe some br adjustments are needed (BV 238 looking at you)

That’s Gaijin for you. A 20mm cannon deals more damage to a bomber than I do to it with a 30mm HE shell. They simply don’t think things through. The main thing for them is churning out one update after another.

That isn’t specifically just narrowed down to just bomber aircraft types but all aircraft & naval radar sets that has been in effect for at least two years or further. The only effective radar that I’ve found keep constant lock are Italian corvettes & to some extent soviet corvette radars.

From an NF perspective some bombers are now tanky but under relentless manual & AI aimed fire they go down in both modes quite easily especially between 2.7 - 6.3 AA batteries on many vessels. Sure some aircraft like the Ki-67 or the Pe-8 tank fire but with constant fire they go down relatively easy imho.
