Boeing F-47 Next Generation Air Dominance Fighter Jet

guys i just spawned in my su-33 and RWR said a f-15 is behind you!!!

behind plane spawn location!

turned out its a chinese player

new camper type unveiled

Excuse me for the late reply, Nobody knows the real capabilities of these aircraft but the larger wings give it that it would reduce drag, that’s my speculation and having a vertical stabilizer does not mean its worse in stealth.

There quite isn’t a proper definition of a “6th gen” having a vertical stabilizer does not mean it’s completely worse, These are only early models of what it could look like

And yes, Russia didn’t even introduce the su57 and America is already making a successor to the f35 lol

For what it’s worth, generations should be a leap ahead in airframe design. And if a plane isn’t 6th gen, and instead a 5.5th gen, doesn’t mean its worse in overall capabilities. Kfir C10 is better than “4th gen” F-14A Tomcat. Generations shouldn’t mean one is worse or better, but rather the tech of the airframe design.

What’s special about removing vertical stabilizers is it is a leap ahead in an engineering feat. The US and other countries for a long time could not achieve supersonic speeds when removing vertical stabilizers, hence why the B-2 and B-21 Raider are subsonic and also why I don’t regard the B-21 as 6th gen even though Northrop claims it is.

The ability to go supersonic and remove vertical stabilizers have many upsides/advantages and also amounts to a breakthrough in engineering. It increases fuel effiency, decreases drag, decreases cross section, and also proves that a country/manufacturer can accomplish an engineering feat. Fighter generations should be, “Did this country unlock the capability to make this design”. Not necessarily if the plane is better in every aspect.

F-47’s design was leaked a year ago onto Secretproject forums if anyone hasn’t posted about it yet

I’m fully aware that removing vertical stabilizers could have a few advantages, although still GCAP could probably change its design. I also was stating earlier than doing so doesn’t really mean that a plane is instantly better in every aspect but I understand

They did show this design but imo I don’t know about the canards, it looks pretty, well kind of unique but also strange for an NGAD, I could just be morally wrong

Yeah that GCAP model is not final

“We’ll continue to test and evolve the design, as we move closer towards the next phase of the programme.”

Actually there seems to be some variations on each nations GCAP designs so we wont really know untill we see a prototype

For example this was shown in 2024 from IHI
https://x.com/hitonoia/status/1847279319732904111?s=19

Design is vastly different which by now 2025 might have even changed already.

Canard on a stealth fighter? Are they high? Am I missing something?

No! It has (arbitrary nonsense) and that makes it worse than Su-30! It should be 13.7 and premium

Here’s one thing we’re gonna agree on.

canards easily help it fly at high speed without vertical stabilizer

Neither the J-36 nor the J-50 have vertical slabs or even canards.

The J-50 seems to have slightly tilted upward wing tips, like some other concept i don’t remember

Pretty sure those are all moving wingtips as a control surface.

I just wanna say, to all the people hating on the J-20 for having canards saying the canards ruin the RCS of the plane, where are you now?

there are 2 ngad renders and one of them looks like it has canards while the other doesnt.

also, on the J-20 the canards move which affects RCS. while the NGAD one does not appear to be able to move

they said it would cost less than an F-22

New fully leaked real design for the F-47 is already in War Thunder AcTuaLlY:

(Only post-WW2 USAF 1947+ aviation fans will get this):

So what is this?
Canards cannot move? Have you seen this? Where is the source?
