Boeing F-47 Next Generation Air Dominance Fighter Jet

🇺🇸🇺🇸Oh lord I love ‘Murica🇺🇸🇺🇸
This plane should be added as soon as possible, right after F-15E, we shouldn’t wait for next update, i need it right now.

USA by far has the weakest planes in the game, and this plane is only viable solutions to at least balance things up.

@Stona_WT please, message dev’s ASAP, tell them that we need this in game in about week, if you’re too busy, you can pm me phone number or email, I would contact them my self

Boys pack your bags, DirectSupport the war thunder player found out the capabilities of the most advanced production aircraft on the planet.

I mean fighter generations are kind of murky and pretty irrelevant. It’s just an easier way to categorize certain traits.

Arent f-x and tempest merged under gcap?

Sure. Pretty stupid to assume stuff about what is the most advanced (and classified) production aircraft on the planet, what even is a fighter in 2025 anyway?
If b21 can carry amraams and use data from datalinked aircraft for firing solutions whos to deny it the fighter status?

I mean, delta canard designs have proven to be extremely maneuverable. Ultimately pretty irrelevant but cool to think about.

Im sure they have SOMETHING the must, but they cannot even figure out 5th gen yet. Theyre likely focusing the resources they can spare on their bomber drones theyve done signifanct progress there it seems and maybe theyll manage su57 production if they can find someone willing to buy at scale(unlikely they get many orders as they wouldnt be able to fulfill deliveries as they need the aircraft themselves we’ll see how they deal with algerian orders)

Yeah the name is a stinker. Shouldve been f40 or some shit like that(who knows wth the new naming scheme even represents anymore lol)

Brake/split rudders

Same idea as the B2 bombers.

This is possible without modern Fly-by-wire but gets kinda not-very-nice (look at early flying wing designs without vertical stabilizers).

Honestly it’s astounding to me how apparently there’s been multiple prototypes and test airframes of American projects and no photos going around, very closely guarded perhaps.
But every Chinese 5th gen stealth and rumored 6th gen flies over densely populated cities, like wtf.

Built by Boeing …will be 20 years late with thousands of problems

F-47s are ugly, not as good looking as F-22s, those 6 generation planes are more like Ufos than planes.

Yeah, i feel like 6th gens will expand further into the stealth/sensor area and focus less on maneuverability. Even from an article i found it says that the F-47 will advantages over the F-22 like range and even more advanced stealth but nothing on maneuverability.
I feel like the F-47 (totally not trumps suggestion for that name) will be the F-35 but Boeing flavored, just more advanced because of tech and slightly different concept.
The other two Chinese rumored 6th gen projects also have no vertical stabilizers (J-36 and J-50) so it does seem like the concept is based around similar tactics and concepts between 2 different nations.

Its simply different countries operate differently.
The us doesnt share informatuon about thing until theyre either finished and pperational, or they simply are binned.

Both are technical validation machines, but the J-36 is still better looking

Yeah but the J-36 i feel like is more of a high alt missile bus compared to something with the dimensions of the F-47, which we honestly don’t know but seems to be smaller in comparison and it’s more… Fighter shaped than the J-36. Also because the F-47 is meant to replace both the F-22 and F-35.

The J-36 literally reminds me of the Ho 229. But from that recent video it seems to turn a bit better than the 229.

it just is PPT lol

so because US isnt flying them over cities its just a PPT?

Over the past five years, in strong partnership between the Air Force and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, X-planes have been laying the foundation for the F-47. These experimental aircraft have flown hundreds of hours, advancing stealth, range, and autonomous systems while refining operational concepts.

Yeah… They’ve been flying PowerPoints for the last 5 years…
