Bmpt and the Bmpt-72

I love the dichotomy of gaijin.

The gun on the badger is supposed to be super accurate, yet goes all over the place in game.

The bmpt (and all bmp auto cannons really) are inaccurate in real life and yet are laser like in game.

There is supposed to be a trade off with a higher rate of fire. Reduced accuracy and faster overheating, but I just did a little test :

Bmd-4 : overheats in 76 rounds
Badger : overheats in 32 rounds

Make it make sense.

I was with you until you said bmd4, bmp guns and bmd guns 2 completely different gun, you can know it from different the rpm of the gun.

Shouldn’t the BMPT have 9M220?

“A variant equipped with an expanding continuous-rod warhead and proximity fuse for use against low and slow flying aircraft, such as helicopters, giving the BMPT a limited anti-air capability.”

Sure, but the actual point is that a much faster firing gun overheats far later, whereas slower firing auto cannons general fire at that rate due to heat and accuracy.

The bmp/bmd/whatever have accuracy, rate of fire and very good overheating characteristics with no downsides to balance their rate of fire.

That was the actual point I was making.

It can fire any missile of the Ataka/Ataka-M family .

Oh btw, is anyone by any chance knows if there’s a suggestion thread for BMPT mod 2017? The one with softcase Relikt ERA on the sides and BMPT 1 turret? Just thinking it would be a good idea to get one (if there isnt one already) since I doubt Snail gonna change anything about current implementation (like giving to TT variant the UBH upgrade similar to T-72B3 or APDSFS belt, but it would be too much for 10.3 I suppose, thus… the need for a proper 2017 ver)

There are plenty such videos : https://youtu.be/rp_0If5m5XA?t=178 For instance here you can see muzzle flash from both canons :

Unless you’ve got actual Russian MOD allocation papers tucked away on your desktop, maybe ease up on the imaginative storytelling.

3UBR11 has been a thing for years now. RU units have been receiving it since 2020 en mass .

Its the same video as i posted not long ago

Yep its the same but different POV and timestamp.

Topwar

Also nothing in that snipet mentions APFSDS. There is zero proof of 3UBR11 being in service.

It’s about this:

The adoption of 30-mm ammunition with a plastic master device (SSP)

Another one here from drone footage. Several pairs of parallel tracers can be seen https://youtu.be/YwQ9ykj8e6I?t=33

its very strange that BMPT-72 (premium one) have commander thermal sights and Spall liner and BMPT didn’t

And they gave it APDS and only 4 ATGM(BMP2M got 8)

if i’m not going to BUY the premium one

i have to use the weakest 30MM ammo in 10.3 and only 4 ATGM
The main gun barely pen leo 1
and it don’t have Scout ability so that makes it harder to grind
(although it have supply crate but i’m pretty sure before you reload it you already dead)
i rather they put it to 11.3 and give it APFSDS

or it’ll change after they release ?

Read what the statement says , look what 3UBR11 cap is made from and your confusion will vanish.

It’s about this… not about 3UBR11, you are quite literally lying lmao.

The leading device is a belt protruding above the side surface of the ammunition, which serves to impart rotation to the projectile in the barrel and obturation of powder gases during firing.

Techmash explained that the use of ammunition with PVU not only eliminates the mechanical wear of the barrel, but also increases its survivability by at least two times. The ballistic characteristics of ammunition with PVU show high stability in various operating conditions.

It was previously reported that ammunition with PVU has already been adopted for use by artillery installations of the naval and aviation basing. In particular, in 2016, the Russian Aerospace Forces adopted 30-mm shells with PVU for the gun of the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter.

Raldi try not to misrepresent sources and lie about Russia’s capabilites since 2018 challenge: impossible.

The people in the article you linked were even asking for “BOPS” i.e APFSDS i.e 3UBR11 cus even they are aware it wasn’t and still isn’t in service hahaha

It would make sense it’s not even issued yet. Apparently the muzzle breaks of the 2A42 have been causing serious accuracy issues with sabots because they aren’t drilled out enough, even for the basic apds lol. Usually not the best place for a source but they do include the Russian patent describing the issue.

Even 3UBR8 is scarce, most IFVs in Russian service make use mostly of AP-I and AP-T rounds lol

So your reading comprehension is even more problematic than initially assumed. It’s ok ill give you accelerated lessons :

  • The article you likned is from April 2019 and talks about the adoption of plastic parts for aicraft guns.

  • The article i linked New 30-mm "plastic" shells will go into service with the SV in 2020 is from december 2019 and clearly talks about the adoption of plastic parts for 30mm guns employed by the artillery systems of the Ground Forces :

Now fist your eyes on 3UBR11 … tell me what the leading bell ( white rings on the sabot ) and cap is made from ?

If you had any remote clue, you wcould understand that this is in order to prolong the barrel life time since APDS/APFSDS are the most problematic in this regard, thus 3UBR11 was one of the first to receive plastic cap.

Jεcka trying to not attribute her misdeeds to others since … challenge : impossible.

The accuracy is probably 500 meters or even less.

Of all the guns he could have chosen too, he chose the one gun that is legendary for being fault tolerant because it can extract dud or failed rounds without impeding the firing cycle.
