Ai would be a better source than this. 800mm pen at 60° 2 km, lol, maybe against concrete
accept that NATO ammunition is better than russian
Is this why DU has 10% more pen ? If its DU they just slap 10% more pen ?
Maybe get an actual source that doesn’t produce random numbers
what is real source for you
I’m Russian? please call Putin and tell him to send me a passport. I just pointed out that Russian ammo is also under preforming… you just started proving my point from there.
bro, please tell me ts is just ragebait, we were talking bout m829a3, and you started mentioning m829a2…
okay, that’s russian apfsds’s, now show the NATO ones
What point are you even trying to make here?
I referenced your chart that doesn’t include M-829A3 so I used the next best ammo that was included which is M829A2, if you provide a chart with M-829A3 included I will be happy to compare them
that we are talking about m829a3 now 3bm69 and 3bm70 that are used only in t-14 armata which exist in few units only
There aren’t any primary sources for (most) modern NATO APFSDS penetration, or at the very least concrete values that aren’t to some degree debatable, the best we have is dimensions and using Lanz Odermatt with said dimensions.
And even then, the known dimensions can be incorrect to varying degrees.
Why would the BMPTs go up from 11.7? They are not really performing anymore at this point and the only people that complain probably have a skill issue against them.
interesting when im in bmpt aall taanks single shot me… somehow after sale bmpt side arnor “nera” is way weaker… in bmpt have most strange death… + much time when enemy fire on atgm all vehicle explode…
To clarify a bit further:
The manufacturer states 3BM-60 achieves 600mm of LoS penetration @ 60° @ 2000m distance.
British documents state M829A1 achieves 690mm of LoS penetration @ 60° @ 2000m distance.
M829E2 is stated to achieve 750mm of LoS penetration @ 60° @ 2000m.
But we also know that Britain uses different criteria/softer target plates, thus the penetration is higher than it would be if tested/assessed in Germany and presumably the US.
DM43 is listed as having 605mm of LoS penetration @ 60°, 2000m, that being a late '80s/early '90s development program primarily intended for export.
3BM-60 is a 2000’s round that only achieves penetration roughly equal to that of a late '80s German program.
I think these numbers are off, 740mm against modern steal will not pen 830mm of it at 0 degrees those stats are way to high for the dimensions of the rounds. Even Vaccum1 at 900mm in total length wont pen 1000mm at 0. Unless you are using T-55/62, Kpz materials from the 1960s and 70s.
BMPT is for sure not overpowered it just causes a bit of chaos on the battlfield and is frustrating to play, yes at times it works but it is not something out of this world.
Hello, this photo from army 2021 iirc states 300mm 60° 2km, not 600
The only reason it isn’t as dominant is because it’s quite likely being played by the absolute worst players on average, out of any tank in the game.
‘‘LoS’’
Line-of-sight.
