no shit? i compared them both. but i see this whole chat is about killing a tank fully . and before anyone telling me that the bmpt is op rn… oh rly didnt noticed that… ofc it has to change but change the br to 12.7 is frfr to much i personally think that the bmpt should go to 11.0 or 11.3 or even higher with apdsfs
I mean it would be an artificial buff too because it is not specified to use APFSDS…
But then again this thing has so many artificial buffs already (namely modules and the “”“external”“” belts) that it probably wouldnt be that outrageous.
what about the 2 guns huh?
It cannot fire them simultainously (irl and ingame*) so I dont see how that is related.

If you can find evidence of both guns firing at the same time, I’d like to see it.
The videos you see of the gun vibrating like crazy are with just a single gun, the gun mounting is that bad.

There are no direct equivalents to BMPT in War Thunder.
Yes, in hindsight it’s effective.
Prior to its addition and use, they wouldn’t have any reference point from other vehicles, so they stuck a guess.
And clearly that guess was wrong, and in between 9.3 IFVs with similar weapons, and Namer 30 with 60% the frontal armor.
So a major mistake when they could’ve and should’ve played more cautiously when not having a direct reference to work with.
@Normandy_Corsair out here implying Gaijin are omniscient gods that can somehow predict the future with no references.
I couldn’t think so highly of other men. I understand the flaws of man, and our limitations that can cause mistakes and bad decisions.

commonsense would have implied that 9.3 to 10.7 vehicles would probably find it difficult to kill.
Which is precisely 99% of the problem.
Also, fairly certain there were reports of it being really good on the dev server, so this minute change to 10.7 could have happened before it hit live
Which also means they should leaned on the side of caution. Gone for 10.7/11.0 from the get go and then gone from there

We had to fight like hell just to get the Harrier T10 up to the performance for the BR they were going to add it at.
I mean they do. T58/Turm II/J-7D and probably some more that I can’t be bothered to name. It just they probably think they could let this slide and think the playerbase would let it pass , like most of the other premium or broken vehicle. Too bad the BMPT actually got a premium version on release so they can’t blatantly nerf the tech tree while leaving the premium untouch.
They know what they are doing and testing if they could push it even further.

That’s like saying the Challenger Mk2 has the body of a 12.7 just because Black Night is 12.7.
Also the armor isn’t a direct reference for the autocannon and ATGM combination, it’s only a general reference point.
However, I’m glad to see my take repeated here:
The following is calling out some of their mistakes, a criticism of past behavior:
They quite literally do with all premiums and non-premiums that have no direct reference.
Harrier T10 had other Harriers and Su-25 as direct reference.
EBR had no reference. 2.3 BR above first addition.
Puma had no reference. 2.0 BR above first addition.
M3A3 probably had no reference. 1.0 BR above first addition.
PT-76-57 had no reference. I forgot its initial BR, I just know it wasn’t 8.3.
People argue that the R3 T20 was OP, and it was added without direct reference. 2.7BR above first addition.
The list goes on and on about these mistakes.
The only saving grace about BMPT is that it’s not a 1.7 - 2.3BR screw up, but seems to be a 0.7 - 1.0 BR screw up instead.
So they are learning. At this rate they’ll have fully learned by 2028. I’d prefer they learn sooner of course.
