Can it be considered unmanned turret when theres people sitting under it and next to the ammo?
I would call the T-15 Armata unmanned and with blowout pannels, not this thing

I think it should not be unmanned. But Gaijin thinks it is because the gunners are technically sitting in the hull.
Holy, hahahahaha.
It’s hilarious, isn’t it? Especially since in most cases nobody is going to reverse out of the close quarter combat GJN tends to force people into. Where an auto loader that eats spall and allows you to keep firing without even disabling your turret traverse beats a turret basket that creates rather than catches spalls and takes out the turret traverse.
Seriously, no matter how you point out that their argument holds no water since other nations have the same and similar problems “It has weakspots” vs “you can lolpen it anywhere”, and so on they’ll just circularly argue the same stuff time and time again.
I don’t think 11.3 is even sufficient for this thing. Not only is it absurdly stable, when the IRL version has incredible gun dispersion. It’s just leagues better than the PUMA VJTF and Namer. And it aint even close. At least in War Thunder.
It’s more survivable, the missiles are way better both in how they target and the damage they do, it has twice the gun. Oh and it feels like it doesn’t overheat anywhere near as quickly either. It’s currently a whole BR lower than two similar vehicles it should be way above.
Unless GJN wants to move both of those down to 10.3 and then move this thing up anyway.
I like how Russia is basically getting fantasy vehicles. While these things do exist, to some extent. Their specs in game and how they work is almost entirely fictional and made up. This thing, the 2S38, etc.
Submitted a new report.
The belts are internal, the crew sits in between the ammo.
There is no separation of the belts, there are two in total.
Added two primary- and a secondary source this time, despite the initial response being demented asf, as this is very much not external:

The T-72B is 10.3 currently, not 12.0+.
And the weapons are at 9.0 in other tech trees and Soviets, not 10.3.
10.0 and 10.3 has better weapons including 30mm APFSDS and 1000mm class ATGMs, all at 10.7 are fire and forget.
@ItsOnyy
13.0 protection? It’s T-72B armor.
It’s good, but not best MBTs [which are at 12.7] good.
T-90M has 50% better armor for example.
BMPT has the best armor of the autocannon-ATGM vehicles; 70% more than Namer 30’s frontal protection, for example.
Average mobility.
The APDS from 9.3.
The ATGMS from 9.something.
And a recessed turret similar to the Object 775.
The armor is why I think bringing it up by 0.3 is reasonable, especially as a way to get results to see if it overperforms there.
It’s why I say it’s weird, because you take two systems with identical stats everywhere else, but add APFSDS and better ATGMs, and the difference in BR is typically 1.0 - 1.7.
BMPT doesn’t have weapon improvements, but it does have armor improvements, which if we do the 1.7 difference between M3 Bradley and M3A3 Bradley, we get like 11.0 on the high end.
1.7 difference between it and the BMP3, minus light tank bonuses.
Gaijin could’ve been more cautious with the BRs despite the fact I see where they were coming from with the BR they introduced this rather unique vehicle at.
“External belts” lmao
I think they’ve been told to outright lie about it to shut down efforts to make it less survivable, no way they are this foolish. Not like it would make it less survivable, the belts like are like 2 cm wide frontally, good luck trying to snipe the belts in an MBT.
Oh i didnt know that the T72B was sporting Relict these days, my mistake then. /s
The weapons are 10.3 material tho. They are not sub par for the BR at all.
please point out the 10.3 vehicle with FnF missiles im quite sure youre gonna hard a hard time doing that.
Do you just write things hoping that your opposite is dumb?
It’s a T-90M hull lol. It gets Relikt, it gets all the protection that a top tier T series tank gets at 10.3, criminal.
I mean
We’ve already had the ammunition stored in autoloading carousel in T-64/80 is apparently Wet Stowage
huh? no way. More like the blood of the crew members after a mistake lol.
The T-90M hull is still using the T-72B composite array.
The T-90M’s turret however is the best in the Soviet tech tree 2nd to none.
While BMPT’s turret is a significant 100mm weakspot; 550mm, and 650mm thick elsewhere.
T-90M’s is over 900mm, over 200mm, and an almost non-existent turret right weakspot.
@H_ngma
One of the T-72Bs has K5, and both BMPT and T-72B K5 protect against DM53 at medium ranges.
The array itself protects against most rounds at 10.0 - 11.0.
Also dude… the BMPT’s offensive gun is on the BMP2 at 8.7.
And the ATGM’s 800mm of pen is equated or improved across a number of vehicles, including BMP3.
Not a single 10.3 cannon-missile vehicle in the game has weapons equivalent to BMPT’s, they’re all better.
The post you quoted is missing the other BRs of 10.0 and 10.7 I apparently forgot to type in, it’s fixed now.
Out of the 4 autocannon ATGM carrying vehicles at 10.3, 2 are using missiles of top-attack with 200mm or 1200mm penetration.
And at 10.7, you get 5/5 with Spike missiles.
Of the 5 at 10.0, all have APFSDS, and similar performing missiles.
This is why I say the armor is the reason its BR should be higher.
Huh? 8.7 bmp2 has only 500mm of pen without tandem. TT BMPT has 800m pen with tandem, also 4 rounds not just 1 like the bmp2.
I think you mean to compare it with the 10.3 BMP-2M, which also has 4 of those 1200mm pen missiles.
Everyone knows spikes are really underperforming, you need like 2-3 to kill 1 mbt. All because it doesnt have top attack feature and with side shots it just goes for the frontal track or barrell, or the top mg.
So you need 12.7 shells to pen it?
Both BMPTs sport Relict what are you talking about? And if you think thats not a reason for a good br jump ask Gaijin why the T72B3A sits .6 higher than the B3
Yes but there are literally 10.3 vehicles that only have a cannon and no missiles.
Like i said a couple times already the weaponry is sufficient and fits 10.3 its not the reason it should go up but paring these weapons with top tier protection and an unmanned turret is very much a reason
105/120 mm too difficult to pen a bmpt frontally, almost impossible in hot situations. Such a small weakspot even from a closer view.
Top tier DM53 has a little more ease at pennetrating it. But as you can see not much difference.
At least has some % to go through the ERA block, not like early 120mm or late 105mm rounds.
